I recently received my new XL 1/2 frame pack 2. 0 and bolt-on Snack Pack in the mail about 10 days ago. When I ordered them, the estimated delivery date was on a Thursday, but they did not arrive until the following Monday, which was not a huge issue for me, but something to keep in mind when ordering. I was excited to put them on my bike as soon as I got them, but was a little disappointed that the XL 1/2 Frame Bag was too short for my 58cm Kona Sutra LTD, by about 1. 5-2”—the Velcro straps on the seat tube just barely overlap. The Snack Pack was exactly what I wanted and I love the bolt-on option to free up space for the frame pack’s Velcro straps. I got to the test them both on an inaugural overnight bikepacking trip this week, and I have to say they both performed very well. I was able to store a ton of stuff in the half-frame bag including bike repair tools, pump, spare inner tube, small bottle of chain lube, and small roll of duct tape on the non-drive side pocket and tent poles, tent stakes, large electronic power source with accessory cables, roll of athletic tape, blue bag kit, large tube of sunscreen, headlamp w/ extra batteries and compass in the larger drive-side pocket. Zippers appear sturdy, even when slightly stressed from over-filling. Did not get any rain, so can’t comment on waterproofness yet. The Snack pack worked for carrying electrolyte packets, wallet, keys, glasses case and cell phone when I wasn’t using it to navigate. Overall, happy with my purchases and appreciate the O. N. crew for crafting quality gear. I may have to look into ordering a custom full frame bag to make sure I use all of my available space!
