Dr. E is an excellent instructor who tutored me with a holistic approach. By this I mean, he encouraged me to get physical exercise daily, get the appropriate amount of sleep, family time and he understood that spiritual health is also important. I learned a lot at NMR

I really want to thank Dr.Eftekar Sir from the bottom of my heart for being such a great coach and mentor. He understands your strengths and weak areas so well. He is so understanding and supportive during your entire journey. His materials are so easy to understand..i just love his video lectures..it binds to you so well that you just don't want to get distracted and disturbed and just want to study with interest. The way Sir plans your study schedule is great,video lectures with other materials and question bank all done one after the other. He explains each and every concept in such a wonderful way that the most difficult topics just get into your head so easily...firstly he makes this strenuous USMLE journey so less stressful with his regular encouragement and appreciation which is needed for a student like me who feels down sometimes during the preparation process...i feel that's the most important thing for a student. Dr. E was my mentor and coach through out my study process. We had weekly meetings for test structure, test taking strategy and high yield topics. I wish I had know these things for all my board exams! Dr. E was a great coach, very compassionate and was able to assess my strengths and weakness while effectively putting together a great study plan. Anyone who is wants a great score on their board exams stands to benefit from Northwestern medical review guidance. I highly recommend their services!

Most of the material is for step 1 or 2. A lot of the information from step 2 overlaps with step 3. The videos are great. The questions can be improved to be more like step 3. The questions are to straightforward and not like the usmle but they are a good refresher for reviewing the basics. I wish the company made flash cards of their high yield points and mnemonics. I need repetition and to do more active learning in which questions and flash cards help with learning the material.

I recently got the northwestern medical online review course and so far i like the way Dr Eftekar uses cartoons to explain difficult concepts, he incorporates questions with each lecture which really helps me to focus on the key points, the mnemonics are great. I also like the fact that the course comes with a Qbank all included. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking for an online course to help them prepare for the USMLE exams. I am a hard worker and generally a pretty strong student. I do well on rotations and I'd like to think I have a bright future ahead in medicine. However, despite many things going well for me... the boards did not. This one exam was a barrier that seemed too daunting to overcome myself. I came to Northwestern Medical review not really thinking it would work but out of other ideas. Turns out the schedule and personal attention of the tutors and mentors is EXACTLY what I needed. Once you sign up they take care of everything, they send you books, make assignments, schedule diagnostics to see how you're progressing and are an ally and cheerleader through the process. The sessions on test taking strategies were invaluable and allowed me to peek behind the curtain of how they make the exams (and thus helped to see the right answer choice even when my knowledge didn't help me to narrow down the choices enough). My one piece of advice is to start your sessions earlier and give enough time to complete everything. However even if you come to them with limited time they will happily work with you to make a plan to get you to your goals. I am thankful for NMR.

This review was a good way for me to fine-tune my weaknesses and hone in on my strengths. I was especially weak in Immunology and with this review, I was able to go back to the basics and rebuild my foundation. Great program!
