Certainly open hours aren’t what they once were, but I understand the largely online business focus. Turnaround for my repair was about half the time they estimated when I dropped it off - certainly can’t complain about that!

I have been looking for a shoulder bag/backpack pannier for some time now but had trouble finding one I liked. The big names like Ortlieb and Arkel have options but they are all extremely bulky and look dopey on your back. After trying a couple of those competing bags, I was shocked that they couldn't figure out how to make a backpack. I'm really really happy I found North St. This backpack is great, what makes it so special is...it's a BACKPACK. No need to reinvent the wheel. It looks normal, even fashionable, when you're wearing it. I also love that North St. hasn't gone and made their own 'proprietary' attachment system. I've used Arkel's and I hate it. Too much hardware, too many moving pieces and you can't attach/remove a bag with only one hand. North St. kept it simple with the tried and true hook and elastic attachment that we've already known for decades works great. No need to overengineer it. I'm really happy that North St. made this bag. This probably sounds like a bot review, but I really just like the bag that much.

I really support smaller, American made companies. The carry community is a picky bunch and what one person wants in a bag is something that another will say is a negative about that bag. I think this is a great company, for the value you can't beat the laptop sleeves which is why I tried the sling, it just wasn't for me.
