A perfect option for screw cap wines

I now have the ability to sample a taste or single glass from the red wine collection I have, instead of waiting for friends to come over to open a bottle, or go to a restaurant that offers wine tasting by the ounce. This has increased my enjoyment of my collection tremendously! The Coravin is so easy to use. Just fit the unit over the bottle, push the needle straight down, which easily penetrates the cork, press the button and pour! Remove by pulling the needle straight up, and then put the bottle back in the rack. You might get a drop coming out of the cork but no more than that. Most of my corks have resealed completely.

User error
It worked fine the first two times I used it but, due to user error, the cork leaked wine from one spot and from the Coravin spout in another. It was the same bottle of wine all three times. I'll be more careful next time to make sure I get the needle centered.

Definitely like the coravin.
It works great. Was surprised how easy it is to sink the needle through the cork. I've tapped at the same bottle quite a number of times, and it keeps its integrity. From an engineering/beauty standpoint, it's great !

Very frustrated that these keep breaking
My husband upgraded me to the Model Eleven, but the needles break like crazy and they are so expensive! Another just broke but I don't think I want to buy yet another system :(

I was concerned I'd have to pay $99 for a needle replacement for my Model Eleven when mine seemed to be causing drips as I poured, after I'd owned my Coravin for just over 2 years. Breaks too easily
This needle breaks too easily. I use it daily and it has never lasted more than two months. It is hard to insert in real corks and the pressure and bending just break it after a small number of uses. Considering the steep price and limited lifetime this is not a good part of an otherwise great product.

I do not recommend the model 11 but love the other versions.
The original needle broke. The replacement bent on its first use. I loved the earlier model so much I bought another but the needle is different and not as robust.
