I was counseled by my knee specialist that these insoles can alleviate some of the pressure of a Varus thrust which apparently was creating excessive wear at the medial side of the knee joint that led to a bone edema (sports trauma) and cartilage wear. The insole feels as if it makes a subtle correction but does not create undue strain or discomfort. My hope is that my body is slowly relearning how to walk with less wear at the medial side.
