So far I've been happy with the rosin quality and feel. I play fiddle mostly in oldtime and bluegrass style, the Ultra formula feels good for that. Also, the custom design came out very nicely, the print quality is really good! The only downside in my opinion is the high-ish rim of the container, a lot of the good stuff will remain unused because of that.

I washed the hair in my bow, to try the magic rosin. I wanted to see if it was different. I like it it makes a good tone on strings. It does not get sticky after using for awhile. I would recommend it to my friends. I have played for 65 most the time as a professional. I will buy again.

Just tried the Magic Ultra for the first time. I found that I had to be very careful not to over-rosin my bow. Perhaps the rosin is too sticky for my taste, as I found it impeded smoothness of sound and bow changes. It also seemed to cake up on my strings rather quickly and I find I am cleaning the strings much more often than I usually do. I did like how well it grabs the strings and that I can really dig in for a strong sound, but struggled with the stickiness.

I love the container. The screw on lid made it safe to store and very easy to use. The picture was wonderful as well. I tried it on cello and it worked well. I am a bassist and hoped the new sticker formula would work for bass. I was not able to get a good attack or a clear sound on my bass using the rosin. But I though it was wonderful for violin and cello. Thank you for letting me try it!

I definitely prefer this rosin over my dark rosin. I feel like the bow hairs grip better to the strings. I would recommend trying this to anyone.

Our daughter has been playing bass for over 6 years now and most recently played with a youth symphony at Carnegie Hall. She has always used the standard generic rosin. I saw this advertised on Facebook around Christmas and was surprised how reasonable the price was and the variety available.Needless to say, we bought one as a Christmas gift for our daughter and she loves it!! The rosin sample I received works really well for my viola bow. Adheres well to the string without making a scratchy sound. I like it a lot!
