Despite some hiccups with the initial order delivery, this thing (once acquired) was literally Magical. Not messy at all, "does what it says on the tin", can be layered every which way, and then some! Had to be extraordinarily patient and methodical with the marathon, strategic experimentation to get the bow hairs prepped. (Finally figured it out less than a day ago.) And while this brilliantly designed rosin is not the only element used in my current setup, it was certainly the most essential in establishing the best possible, sanity-saving, and cost-effective, base. If you don't need Extremely-Sticky-Sans-Sloppy-Seasonal-Goo for a weirdo bespoke blend--where a little goes a long way, the Ultra recipe also works wonders. Corroborating the other reviewer: yes, the X-Sound is quite robust overall, but everything depends on contextual specifics. In my complicated use cases (where the preliminary crazy work does yield a significant amount of convenience for the long haul once product properties are understood), this X formula is just plain Awesome. Great strings & service

It came super quickly and it looks great! The rosin is pretty good quality and gives you good traction on the strings. He loves the gift and will definitely think about getting this gift for my other musician friends again :)

I've received prompt service and fast product delivery from Connelly MC. The Boveda system works very well. I was kind of worried when I heard to put one under the tailpiece of my cello, so I just placed the two packets under the scroll. I've had no issues with them and now place one under the scroll and the other under the tailpiece, Since I started using Boveda I've had no issue with tuning or staying in tune. Thank you for your assistance.

I loved working with this company! We ordered the custom rosin. When the year on the logo was a previous year, they checked with us to make sure that was what we wanted. That was so helpful! And then they helped to ensure that we got the rosin in time to present it to our senior students at the final concert. The rosin is beautiful! We will definitely order from them again!

My daughter accidently dropped her rosin and it broke. It was her fault. When I mentioned this in a previous review and stated that I need to reorder the product, customer service reached out to me with help and a discount. I just received the new rosin in the mail and it is so cute! (of course it has my dog's picture on it so of course I'm going to love it!) I love love love this rosin that I purchased some for my students. All of them were so beautiful I couldn't pick one. So I went with the Seconds (BLEM) to surprise me and I wasn't disappointed :D It was like they knew my husband purchased a color spectrum incredibow last year and now I have the amazing rosin to match it. Not only is it beautiful its smooth, I placed some on a brand new bow and only a couple passes of this rosin was all it took vs. other rosins you would have to sit there for five minutes to rosin a brand new bow... It really only took a couple of passes with this rosin. It really is made of Magic! I wanted to mention as well the most amazing customer service as well! I had placed a note to please not include the prices as I was gifting some to my students and I received an email that day confirming just that. I won't buy my rosin anywhere else but with you. Also I referred another student of mine to get a rosin as well because I knew that she would order one with her picture in it.. I was in aww how clear the photo was and the detail. I bought this for my daughter. She loves it! She said it’s so much nicer than her old one and she loves having her picture on it. She takes one to school in her cello case and the other stays at home for practice. Amazing product and excellent customer service!

The Rondo G string is excellent! It has a wonderful clarity and quick response all the way up the finger board. It can take a fair bit of of arm weight at the frog, respond to several bow speeds, and the sound is a very nice mixture of warmth and brilliance. My instrument's wolf tones are also slightly diminished with this string. I pair this string with Peter Infeld D and A strings for a superb blend! Connolly's service is great as always!

I absolutely love this rosin! While other rosins make me sneeze sometimes, I never have issues with Magic Rosin. It's also gorgeous- The Crocodile Rocks are a beautiful aqua color, and definitely appear three-dimensional, especially compared to other Magic Rosin designs.
