Per my vet's recommendation (because she uses it for her own pets) I started the renal support diet to help my 15 year old Pomeranians kidney values. Within 3 weeks of feeding his numbers changed significantly. It was not hard to switch him over because he is already used to and loves fruits and veggies so he really enjoyed the cauliflower-ness of the new food, because that is one of his favorite veggies. Its definitely worth a try if you are having any specific diet needs or just want a healthy over all diet for you pup going forward.

We have 3 golden retrievers and we have been having a hell of a time keeping their interest in their kibble. . . no matter what kind and we have tried many. My toy poodle Penny had been on fresh food for a while, but when she was diagnosed with PLE and Pancreatitis, she had to switch to prescription canned food. She was ok for a bit, but became really picky and would not eat the few limited varieties available, and she still had flare-ups every few months. I contacted JFFD and they came up with a custom diet for her, and I chose the DIY method. She has been doing great now for almost a year with no flare-ups! She eats all her food immediately without help.

My order had way too many carrots in the foid. I felt they were using carrots as a filler instead if more meat. We hen I write to customer service they basically said too bad. I even sent a pic showing half the food was carrots! So I have cancelled my subscription due to poor customer service and lack of meat!

Ive been coming to the West Hollywood store for years and Im always greeted with a warm welcome and wonderful service. The manager Joe is always so nice and smiley and friendly! My dog Sparky and he is so picky about all of his food and LOVES the Beef and Potatoes. He's also in wonderful health which I attribute to the food I feed him! Thanks for everything :)

My 3 Chihuahuas love your food in the pouches. But I have multiple disabilities in my hands making the zippers hard or impossible to open. I often have together scissors to open them. Can you find a way to make them easier to open?

My dog had a bout of pancreatitis earlier this year and my Vet gave me a list (a short list because there aren't too many low fat food options) of low fat food for my dog and I decided to try Just for Dogs. So I called Just for Dogs and the Cust Svc Rep was so nice and helpful. She recommended the chicken and rice recipe and she told me how much to feed my dog based on her weight. Well, my dog loves it and she has been ok thus far so I would highly recommend the chicken and rice recipe if your dog is dealing with pancreatitis.

I would have given a five star rating except this week following his dinner he was choking and coughed up a very small piece of what appeared to be a bone. Although this is the first and only time it happened I felt you should be made aware of the incident.

I put my 10 year old Chihuahua on this food as he was losing his teeth and having health issues. He recently passed away at 16 years old and I truly believe his food extended his life.

I always gave my yorkies healthy food, human grade organic - I did investigate this food - all 3- just fresh, pantry fresh and frozen. I made call's to them and emailed with the company. Only because my girl gets bored with her food and wanted to find something i can give her when she does. Also i cant travel with her food-it comes frozen. WELL the just fresh having starch i decided against it. I did go pick up Lamb with rice frozen and pantry fresh AND Turkey with macaroni FROZEN. First of all this rice and macaroni is NOT healthy. especially the macaroni , I never expected in the pantry fresh the meal IS MACARONI !!!! thought maybe little pieces would be in it- BUT THE MEAL is macaroni, not much of anything else !! No, it is not healthy for dogs to eat dog food with a lot of macaroni in it. Worst experience ever. I have no idea how they intend to get or keep any business. I purchased their nutrition consult for a prescription diet to address struvites in the urine. The entire consult the nutritionist kept asking me what I thought we should include in my dog's diet. As if I'm sort sort of a medical professional. The nutritionist provided zero information or advice. I later received a quote for $350 for 2-months of food for a tiny 4-lb pup which was not at all in line with the rough estimate the nutritionist quoted during the call. When I asked for a more economical option, the response was, the company wouldn't provide me with even an estimate of the alternative protein cost without me paying for the reformulation of the diet. I mean, good luck, what kind of customer service is that?

Allergy / tummy issue

I was reading on Reddit about how weighing just for dogs packages were never really 18 Oz. So I decided to a our dogs it was actually 18 Oz Frozen and thawed out yet when I took the food out it's very moist really soaked with water so I put it in a strainer and and pushing all the water out of it and it was really coming out it was still moist and I know it still had water in it so I put it on the scale and it only weighed 12 oz so are they charging us for the packaging and for the label that's not right I contacted them and they wanted to know what store I bought it from. My reply was are you kidding me. You are the one that packaged it. No response

Our King Charles Cavalier was diagnosed with a heart murmur at around five years old. Even though he was on medication, the vet told us that he wouldn't expect Charlie to live past 10. In addition to the medication, we started Charlie on Just Food for Dogs at about 8 years old. Charlie lost about seven pounds and seemed happier and healthier. In October, Charlie will turn 15! Everyone who sees him can't believe he is approaching 15 years old. While he certainly is not the young pup he was, still goes on a 3/4 mile walk every evening and at times, finds the energy to run around the room.

I was very skeptical when one of my dog’s vets recommended Just Food For Dogs because we have tried other Rx diets for our little guy and he has always refused to eat them at all. He is a very, very picky eater even with regular food. But, because he has liver issues we have been desperate to find a Rx diet that he will eat. Thank goodness, he is eating your hepatic formula! It took a bit to get him accustomed to it and we do have to warm it slightly but he is eating it. The only problem is that he doesn’t eat as much as you recommend for a dog his size. I’m hoping that is because he has just had surgery and his appetite will increase with time.

Chrissy was amazingly helpful on the phone. She answered all my questions and she helped me determine my pup’s portion sizes for her meals. I coincidentally happened to talk to her twice on the phone and both times she was super kind and helpful!!!

Not only is the quality of Just Food for Dogs amazing, but Sasha & Mikayla at the Anaheim Hills store are awesome! They always make an effort to let me know that the fresh food was delivered so my picky Corgi is satisfied - she has a preference for the fresh - and I appreciate them so much!
