I had been looking at Junimoon's Instagram page for a few weeks before deciding that my desire for her super cute little cakes and cookies had overcome my reluctance over the cost of shipping from Australia to UK. I feel I got a good deal in the sale however, so overall I feel it was well worth ordering, even from so far away. I had so much fun choosing a good selection of little felted cakes, cookies and fruits. I was surprised how quickly my order came from Australia. I think it was only a couple of weeks. I feel I am very happy with my order I appreciate the individual handmade nature of each piece, because I deal with a Nepalese felting company myself, so no two pieces are exactly the same - just like real baked goods! The children have been asking to play "picnic" every day since these super cute pieces arrived, and they make the most adorable tea party setups! I really love being able to source beautiful handmade toys like this rather than plastic cakes and pies (which are not nearly so tactile and satisfying and pleasurable to handle for the children. These little cakes and fruits are super realistic, while at the same time being quite versatile and open-ended to use. The textures and blending of the wool makes delicious shades of colour on the sponge, biscuits and pastries. Along with the felted cakes was a beautiful little set of hand stitched seeded crackers and biscuits, which have inspired me to sew a few more of my own to make the set bigger. I am having a lot of fun with this! I love playing with these pieces just as much as the children and would highly recommend to anybody with young children. Do not hesitate to place an order with Junimoon. Just do it! You will be so glad you did!
