I have a 58# German Shorthaired Pointer. She runs hard and is quite strong. While she is partially trained to stay by my side, when we run she can't help but to motor out ahead until we get a mile or two into our run. I researched a number of other hands free leashes and chose Iron Doggy. It was a little more $ but for that small difference the quality is far superior. The length adjustments allow me to easily keep her close by when on the street and let her loose a bit when running on the golf course or on a trail. The intermediate handle and knots let me quickly pull her to me when passing others or approaching the road. The only thing that I didn't like at first but have grown accustomed to is the fact that because it is a bungee (which has advantages as noted in other reviews), when I tug on the leash to correct her pulling and let her know to get next to me, it doesn't have the same affect as a static leash. But I really don't know if that would even be a factor (and she'd still pull) with a different application. In summary, I am pleased with the Iron Doggy hands free system.

I love this leash. It's made from durable materials so it is not at all weathering quickly which has been a problem with others. I'm also happy that the makers thought to make the clip on the belt where the dogs hook on mobile so that when your dog switches sides the leash goes with it. My favorite feature is the extra handles and d-rings down the length of the leash so I can adjust depending on the type of activity we are doing. Thanks Iron Doggy!

This leash has made running with my dog so much more enjoyable!

I adopted a sixty pound husky several years ago. When I got her there were some serious pulling issues (which occurred randomly and without warning) and I was concerned she was going to injure my shoulder if she suddenly took off pulling when I was not expecting it. I worked on training her but decided a hands free leash would work better - she didn't tend to try to pull if she thought it wouldn't get her anyway. I looked all over. Yours is the best by far. The pulling has gotten much better, but I love the hands free because we walk 30-35 miles a week so this way I can take a phone call, or scoop poop while holding the flashlight, because I have my hands free. It also works great in the dog store where I can shop while she sniffs around and still have my hands free to push the cart and put things into it. On top of the excessive mileage my dog thinks the leash is a great chew toy. When the first one wore out, I bought a different one at the pet store because I was in there. However, it didn't work very well. I am very pleased to have a new Iron Doggy for comfortable safe walking for the next few years.

Love the leash. My dog took to it very well. When I am running and my dog sees another dog or squirrel, his shadow, and darts after it suddenly, the give in the leash keeps me safe and helps me not to do any faceplants. My dog is 60 lbs and I am 125 lbs. I also love the fact that you can be hands free to do other things with your hands. Cleaning, gardening, going for walks, etc...awesome leash. Would definitely recommend.

I'm very pleased with my Sidekick. The quality is great, and the bungee does what it is designed for. My dog, Oz, got startled by another dog and lunged, but the bungee gave me a chance to react and get him under control. I especially like the loop/handle that's close to the dog's end - I could easily reach it when we were in "high risk" areas, and I didn't have to lean to reach (I guess my dog is the perfect height!). Oz likes to run right by my side, and the leash is a good length. I'd love to have a little pocket for poop bags and the times when I my job requires me to have my cell phone handy. Love this leash!

I have a 95lb weimaraner and love the way this leash handles him. I am able to jog without the leash pulling on my arms. He does pull a bit more than I would like but usually only for the 1st mile or so and then he settles in.

This leash is perfect! I use urban pokes when I'm out walking with my Sheltie - my own 'hands free' solution was frustrating and I did a lot of shopping around until I stumbled on Iron Doggy's website. It took a few weeks for my Sidekick to make it to Canada but it was worth the wait. When I want to walk my Sheltie AND my Toy Poodle I just attach a coupler and we are off on an adventure. The Sidekick is awesome - we are happy campers - what a great product!

I use this leash nearly every day now. It's perfect for walks and runs for my 50 pound dog [collie mix] that loves to pull. I am able to concentrate on the run now instead of holding on to the leash & having my arm pulled out of socket. My dog still pulls but its significantly less feeling. It is worth the money and I am so grateful for this leash! Thanks Iron doggy!!!!!

I'm an avid runner and like taking my dog, Moe, with me. Moe runs fairly well on a leash, but when he sees something he wants to chase he pulls in that direction and jerks my arm. Now with the Runner's Choice Irondoggy leash, I barely notice his tugging and can keep running at a consistent speed and direction.

I got this to run and hike with my 8 year old Whippet. She has been a puller her entire life on leash. I was not expecting to be able to run with her the very first time with this leash, but it happened! I was amazed and thank you for this awesome product and design. Also for runner's considering this, I was concerned a little about the weight if this but once using it this is no issue. I will likely return soon and get the other model too! Note: when I say not expecting to run the first time I mean I expected to work up to this training her to run with my and not pull!

We have a 7m, 80# Malamute/Chocolate Lab mix who is still learning not to pull when we go on our walks/runs and this leash has saved my arms and back! Our puppy likes to pull a lot and dart after squirrels and having this leash is a life saver! Great product! Very pleased!

I have a 90 pound dog and this leash works great. I love that you can adjust the length to the three different lengths. We typically use the shortest and medium lengths on our runs. The bungee cord is also great impact resistance. I highly recommend.
