The box itself was wonderful and I love the book, Witch King, but the book was damaged. It looked like the book had been dropped on its on its lower right corner damaging the cover and the book itself. It was packaged damaged. It was not damaged during shipping. This is the first time I have received a damaged book from Illumicrate.

This box was worth every penny spent! The book is absolutely stunning. The dust jacket, sprayed edges, and inner cover illustrations are all beautiful, making this a truly special edition. I was delighted to see additional items related to some of my favorite fantasy books: Divine Rivals, The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy, and Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Faeries. I haven't read A Dark and Drowning Tide, but it is definitely on my TBR now! Each item is high quality, and you can tell that they were chosen with a lot of care. I will absolutely be buying from Illumicrate again!

I love the books that I have gotten through the subscription, however the cost of shipping is prohibitive. If there were a better option to get the books to Canada, the service would be incredible, but at the cost of $50+ CAD a book, after initial cost and shipping, it just doesn't remain feasible to get the books I am interested in.
