Extremely disappointed. None of the scents in the Season of the Witch box or the Scandalwood roll on had any essential oil smells to them at all. They completely were chemical cologne manufactured. Just awful.

Other perfume companies consider samples as just lowly little things, unassuming and unimportant in their grand scheme of highly designed and expensive full 5 oz bottles. They just toss the little vial into some boring shipping sleeves and call it a day, often very rarely sending a discount code for a full-size following this purchase. . . But not Heretic. Here is a company that pours their might into every single object and offering. And this sample gift set was no different. In fact, this is my absolute favorite set from them yet. The art, the intention, the pure magic infused into this set is immense. Everything from online shopping to shipping to packaging feels so lovingly crafted, especially for us who can't afford bottles upon bottles of full-size perfumes. Myself, I can only afford one over $100 bottle every 2 years or so, and I was shopping for that one wonderous scent--and behold! I have found it thanks to this set! (spoiler alert:: it's ⛤ Haxen⛤) And what really won my spirit with this set was the addition of scent-bespoke art by Open Sea Design's magical Melissa Constandse. What a gift these accompanying incantation images are. . . I hope this collaboration (and many more) continue to grow.
