As a former competitive swimmer, I was prepared for disappointment. I was pleasantly surprised! While this cap did not keep my hair dry (I think I would have to have my ears out, which I do not like), it stayed in place very well. After a lifetime of latex and then then silicone swim caps, I have zero expectation of dry hair after a swim, so that was not a change for me. I really like the ability to tighten the cap at the band.
