I put down Grotrax after a forecast of little to any rain. That night, we had a deluge, so I had to start over. Once I put down the new lines of Grotrax and followed the instructions to keep it saturated, the grass did begin to grow in about 10 to 14 days. However, the grass growth was not as thick as I suspected and it seems thin. Outside of that, the grass has filled in (most of the area where planted but not of a thick nature.
The worst part was getting the product delivered. The grass grew great except for a few spots. Would of got more this year but could not get bank on when I woi ld get the product.
Still in the growing stage, about a week into it.
Product works exceptionally good
Great product but it needs to be reviewed in holding the blanket to the ground when the wind picks up as it will roll over the leading edges causing a big headache to put it back in place where it belongs. I ended up applying 2 x 4's or 4 x 4's on each of the edges and after the grass started growing then I was able to remove the items and the grass underneath the 2 x 4's and 4 x 4's eventually started sprouting up with no problem.
I applied Grotrax as per instruction to two circular areas. Now about three weeks in the grass is growing but not consistent across the new area. Nice and thick in the middle but thin around perimeter. Some areas no grass at all. I'll keep trying and hope the whole area fills.
With very little soil prep and a sprinkler timer, I had grass growing on a 100 sqft area in a semi shady area under a porch in about 2 weeks. Easy to install. I bought some bags of topsoil and spread around first. Seemed to help it make contact with the ground.
Germination was about 70 - 80%. It did hold the seed in place through heavy rains.
Pretty good product. Grew great in about a week and a half.
It’s growing in. Excited!
Grew as promised
Rotrax grew seedlings, I am waiting to see if they stay healthy. Grotrax sent this request for comments only four weeks after I bought the product. This is not enough time to evaluate the product
Bought the Grotrax, and then was convinced by my neighbor to go with mulch. Easier and in stupid California, where water is almost as costly as gasoline, I can't afford to water it every other day. So we went the no water route instead. Bummed because I wanted to see how it worked. I will save it and maybe put a patch in my back yard if this stupid liberal Governor ever gets out of office and California ever becomes sane again.
If you have 75% or more sun good luck! Got 4 rolls, used 2 rolls at first. Followed directions to a T. Grotrax worked great in the partial sun, did not work at all in 80% sun
I noticed a nice girl to bring Sprouts within the first week and it's going well now. Haven't had to cut it yet though
Worked just great
Did really well in the backyard (north east side). Struggling in the front (soth/west side). But in all fairness, this is in North Texas, and the June sun had been quite hot (95-100 everyday).
Great product. Grass came in nice and quick
It grows Grass! Believe me I've tried everything from seed to sod and nothing has worked this well so far. Now I reserved my 5th star till I see how long it last. I liked it well enough that I have ordered more!
Still maturing----fine blades----easy to use----will see later !!!!
