These Rick Flaubert irons simply launch the ball. They feel extremely soft, with tons of spin and serious backspin, stopping the ball quickly on the green. I had zero issues hitting the 4, 5, and 6 irons. The ball flight with the long irons isn’t overly high — and honestly, anyone playing these irons isn’t looking for ballooning shots. They’re built for control. The 6 and 7 irons are absolutely perfect for generating height and backspin, ideal for attacking pins and holding greens. And the 8, 9, and pitching wedge… no explanation needed. The workability, the touch, the feedback, the feel — all of it is simply perfect. For me, these irons work for anyone from a 15 handicap all the way to a professional. Hitting the center of the clubface is our responsibility. I don’t believe in “forgiveness” as a crutch — forgiveness is for when you can’t strike the ball properly. If you play overly forgiving clubs, you never truly learn to strike it well. These irons reward proper ball-striking, and that’s exactly the point. For me, they work for beginners, 20–30 handicaps, and pros alike. If you’re willing to learn how to hit it right, this is the iron.
