I am ecstatic that I ordered the "Cheap Go Set!" For the price of stones on Amazon, I was able an entire wooden board and stones. It is PERFECT for my purposes and I've been playing Go for just over a month. I'm planning on getting a nicer set next year, but for now this is ideal.

Efficient Friendly service

Was looking for a folding board for a few years but didn't trust some of the sites out there to send a good product through. Go Game Guru has a good reputation and brand and I was hoping if I ordered something from them it would be worth it. Shipping was a bit expensive, but other than that, the product is great. So nice to have a semi-portable go set now, just throw in bag / pack and head out.

The one piece shin-kaya goban is gorgeous. It is crafted beautifully and I have a lot of fun playing on it. The stones make a really nice clicking sound when being placed. Even though it is quite light, the wood seems very durable and resistant. The shipping was unproblematic and the packaging was perfect.

I placed two orders with gogameguru so far. Everything was smooth: products or pieces not damaged or missing. Delivery time all right. Prompt and kind replies to inquiries. Strongly recommend them.

This board is absolutely gorgeous. The color is quite light/bright and extremely easy on the eyes. As GGG advertises, it is indeed perfect for anyone who does not care for the more yellow boards out there (which are really not much cheaper anyhow). The grain is beautiful and very tight and straight. For anyone who wants a lovely table goban on a budget. Plus you are in good hands ordering from GGG. My parents ordered this board for me for my birthday and there was an very small defect. Understanding the extremely high expectations of their customers, GGG sent out a new one straight away. I could not be more pleased with this customer service and I wish all companies would take a lesson from GGG on this score.

I have found gogameguru to be excellent at customer relations. if you have a genuine problem they move up on it very quickly to give total customer satisfaction. I have no other interest other than as a satisfied customer and rate gogameguru very highly and know that I can shop with confidence.

My orders arrived ahead of schedule, the products were exactly what they were expected to be. The super-thin vinyl sheet that came with my original order of 'dirt cheap go set' was probably better suited to keep my leftovers fresh in the refrigerator, but it sufficed for a month with little fading of the ink. I do still use it on occasion, though my friends and I far prefer using the wooden board I purchased the following month. Tomorrow I meet with a faculty member from my local school district with the intent of teaching him how to play Go, and hopefully how to teach it as well. May this school implement the first of many Go clubs that will enhance the young minds of those likely to be removing the gallbladders of old farts like me in the not-to-distant future.

Excellent product, very good quality despite the cheap price.

Beautiful stones, they all seem to be in great shape. I was expecting to have to wash the black stones, but they are clean and vibrant right out of the box. This is my first set of double convex stones, so I'm getting a kick out of the "wiggle" when I set them down. Very satisfying set of stones, especially at this price. Gogameguru also did a great job of keeping me informed of my shipment's progress.
