We bought the 13" Split King Tatalay Mattress with the Ex Firm, Firm, Medium and Soft 3" layers. We are side sleepers. My wife is 170 Lbs. and I am 240 Lbs. The mattress is not at all what I would call "soft," but rather "giving" (in all the right spots). Unless you like a very firm mattress (like sleeping on the floor), be sure to buy a mattress with the soft layer. If it is too "soft," then you can place the medium layer above the soft layer to get a firmer feel. We are very pleased with the overall feel of the mattress. Our experience with Foam Sweet Foam was excellent.

Price matters, but who's selling it does, as well. From what I can find, most Talalay latex foam is produced by one of two manufacturers. That means, generally speaking, Retailer A is selling the same product as Retailer B, so any real difference is the service provided by the seller. I checked the history of several suppliers, and Foam Sweet Foam stuck out for being in business since 1982. They're the anomoly in the chain, a business that's actually been around for years, starting as bricks and mortar. I could have saved a few dollars buying from one of a number of different online retailers, but went with Foam Sweet Foam. Great decision. Someone called me several days after my order was processed to let me know when it would be delivered. It was delivered as promised and the topper I ordered, a 3-inch queen talalay, was exactly what I expected. The only thing I could ask for is the option of an organic batted wool cover, but the organic cotton cover is inexpensive and appears to be of good quality. Needless to say, I'm very happy with my decision.

The management team was wonderful as they helped to correct an order glitch and shipped the mattress topper. Kudos to them. I highly recommend this company. Plus, the product is top quality.
