On a max level it literally turns night into day - that is how bright it is! It is reasonable to admit on a max level the battery will drain very fast. Construction is solid and well made. Like the rotary mode switch. This thing is heavy and bulky so definitely not your average backpack flashlight :) TIme will tell how good or bad it is in a long run, but initial impression is very positive!
