I did an iron fitting at my local club champion and had sticker shock when I saw how much they were charging for a shafts, grips, club build, etc. I found Fairway Jockey through a google search, and submitted my spec sheet to get a quote to compare against. I submitted my spec sheet midday Sunday, and had a quote maybe 30 minutes later. I made a couple adjustments to the specs, and Darren even called me after talking with the club builders to advise me on not going extreme with the lie angle bend club champion had suggested. I was thoroughly impressed with the customer service, especially the promptness. Oh, and saving around 20% like they advertise was a nice perk, bought some new wedges with the savings. I waited to post my review until I got the clubs in hand, could confirm the specs, and play a couple rounds with them. The build quality was excellent, and the specs matched exactly to the sheet submitted. I've been recommending Fairway Jockey to my buddies that are talking about getting clubs in the offseason. I will definitely be purchasing from them again

I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Fairway Jockey! Ordering my custom clubs was incredibly easy and straightforward. There was a minor hiccup with a back-ordered grip, but their customer service team went above and beyond—reaching out right away and working with me to select an alternative grip so my order could stay on track. To my surprise, the clubs actually arrived two days earlier than expected, and the packaging was top-notch—everything was secure and presented with real care. I usually game the Pro V1, so I’m pretty picky when it comes to feel, spin, and especially durability—and the Vice Pro really impressed me. Performance-wise, it’s surprisingly close: great control around the greens, solid off the tee, and it holds up round after round without scuffing easily. Can’t beat the value.

This past year, I took a trip with some friends. I didn't have a perfect set of clubs personally, so I rented clubs at the courses I played. I realized at that point that what I had in my bag was not great, and my friends, who are avid golfers, said You really need to get fitted. One of them recommends Club Champion. So I set an appointment and took advantage of one of their fitting options, knowing I would have to buy at least one club to get the full bag discount. So when I was there, they did a nice job, but we only concentrated on the driver, and I felt rushed through the last part of the process. So after about 4 hours on site, they showed me the breakdown, and I nearly needed an AED. I told them I had to think about it, and then they put a 24-hour cap on the decision. So after all that, I chose the driver and called it quits. Well then, even after that, their site, which is horrible by the way, took down the whole build with all the other club info. I had to fight with them to get that pulled and provided to me since I did pay for the entire bag fitting. So that's when I decided to start looking online for other club builders. I happened across FairwayJockey here. I decided to book a consultation and I was hooked up with Darren. We spent about 45 minutes on the phone and exchanged several emails. He reviewed their additional build information and provided feedback and suggestions based on the information shared. As we worked through the process, I shared my budget, and we tried to work within that price point. However, during the process and discussions with Darren, I felt like he was not going to offer me the lowest price possible to get me into new clubs. Still, he stood by his designs and said, "Listen, if we go any different than this, you're not going to see any enhancements, and it's not going to work as well for you, and then you've got an expensive set of OK clubs. " That said a lot to me, and I eventually bought the clubs you see below and spent a lit...
