Jacket zipper failed after 2 hours on first day
I purchased an expensive 686 ski jacket at Belleayre Mountain in NY. My son liked the colors and the saleswoman went on and on about how good the 686 quality and company was. Overall the jacket seemed to be good quality so we purchased it. The first day my son used it was at holiday mountain and the bottom of the zipper came apart. I returned to the store at belleayre mountain and the clerks remembered selling me the jacket earlier that week, I showed them the jacket. They have a no return or replacement policy and suggested I reach out to the manufacturer. I emailed pics to 686 and the response directed me to review the warranty guidelines which state zippers and tears are not covered. I am pretty disappointed that there was no offer to help correct this in anyway. Not a send it to us at your own expense and we will inspect it. No we are sorry for the inconvenience how can we work to resolve this. Just an email warranty link stating zippers and tears are not covered. I am a general contractor and in the event that any product I purchase falls short of its reasonably expected life or quality, the vendor makes good on it the same way I have to do the right thing in guaranteeing my work and finished product. The bottom 1/2” of the zipper that is damaged prevents the jacket from closing. Which makes the jacket worthless to a child on a ski hill. We all spend thousands of dollars on skiing and snowboarding each year. This doesn’t make me ever want to donate anymore money to this company. And certainly not purchase from this particular Belleayre Mountain store. The ski shop just before the mountain seemed much more helpful and likely to help people find a solution. I would recommend purchasing online as almost anything purchased online can be returned within a week and typically costs a lot less.

Best customer service experience
I love the 686 gear - especially all the Everywhere pants and the Utility pants. Unfortunately, a seam came undone on one of them and I reached out to customer service. They not only replaced the pants with no trouble, but made the whole process so easy and pleasant. Big fan!

Terrible customer service
So to sum it up. I didn’t get a product I ordered. I emailed them and asked why it wasn’t included. They emailed and said it was out of stock and that they would refund me for the product. I email back saying it was in stock when I ordered and still in stock. They say it’s out of stock again. I send them screenshots and url of it being in stock (over a week after my order). They basically say oh it looks like it is in stock but we cancelled the order so we can’t send it. place the order again and we will send it, we must have gotten some returns. The product isn’t on sale anymore and I was ordering it as a present. A whole lot of commotion for a 15 dollar shirt and to not admit your own fault of not including an item in my order. I shouldn’t need to bend over backwards just to get something I ordered that is clearly in stock

Aweful Customer Service

I ordered these pants and
I ordered these pants and realised immediately after that the size was wrong, because of the buggy mobile webstore. I contacted customer service immediately to change the size. They informed me that it's not possible change I had to cancel my order, so I did. But after few days they told me it was too late and order was shipped. So now the so called "no-hassle return" is that I need to ship it back at my own cost. Starting price for return is 35€ and I will also loss my initial order shipping cost so overall I will loss 45€ if I return these pants because of bad customer service.
