Really good product for the price ! The only drawbacks for me would be the static in the mr1l volume control when adjusting the volume, the lengthy boot up process it takes to fully power on the system once the power button is pushed, and the audible pop the mr1l makes during the power on process. But a great product in sound quality and compatibility overall. I'm pleased and would recommend this Emotiva product line for anyone who is looking for quality at an affordable price point!

Could not be happier with new processor. Sound upgrade playing music 2. 0 and 2. 1 has been stunning! And The Dark Night on blue ray (7. 1 Dolby surround) had us jumping out of our seats. Switching between sources ( TV, blue ray, Apple TV/music, turntable, Bluetooth,) much faster/cleaner. Always enjoyed my speakers but they have come alive - much improved sound stage, transparency, and bass control. (only request is for wi-fi to be enabled ASAP). And always, Emotiva customer service excellent - Great job Dan & Team!

Delivery was quick with 2-3 days. Easy setup, use it for front (L&R) & centre, my setup is 5. 1. 2. Sound stage more balance n stronger compare to the before setup , Front (L&R) were using Emotiva PA2400. Good buy and value for money. 👍

My Experience with the Emotiva BasX-PT-2 Audio Preamplifier An audio preamplifier is an important part of any hi-fi system, and after adding the Emotiva BasX-PT-2 to mine, I’ve had time to appreciate both its strengths and its weaknesses. Paired with my Emotiva XPA-DR-2 power amplifier, the PT-2 has shown me just how much a good preamp can shape the listening experience. What impressed me first was the sound quality. The PT-2 has very good channel separation, which gives the music a wide, convincing soundstage. Instruments and voices are placed with accuracy, and the imaging is clear enough that I can almost point to where each sound is coming from. It also brings out the tiny details in recordings that I hadn’t noticed before. When I listen through the PT-2 and XPA-DR-2 together, the sound is not only accurate but also very musical, making long listening sessions a real pleasure. The unit itself is solidly built, and I like the clean look of the blue front-panel display, which is easy to read. The design is simple and functional, which I appreciate. That said, I’ve also noticed a few things I’m not happy about. The remote control feels flimsy and generic, which doesn’t match the quality of the preamp. The volume knob isn’t smooth or “feathery” to the touch, and adjusting it doesn’t feel as refined as I’d like. Finally, when I use the internal DAC, I have to turn the volume up much higher than with analog inputs to get the same output level, which can be frustrating when switching between sources. Even with these drawbacks, I find the BasX-PT-2 to be a strong performer. It delivers the clarity, separation, and musicality that make listening enjoyable, and for me, that outweighs its shortcomings.

I love my Basx A3+!! I use it to power my front three channels and they sound great! When I upgrade to a 7. 3. 4 soon I will be getting another amp.

I have a basx 5 and 6 amplifier just hook up the pre outs and speakers make sure receiver is set right may have to select different settings if needed works great

As I had recently purchased two Emotiva BasX A1 Monoblock Power Amplifiers (which I HIGHLY & ENTHUSIASTICALLY recommend), I pulled my old Sumo Athena preamp out of storage to implement it back into daily use; this line drive type preamp does not have a phono stage (as I purchased it without having that option). Thus I needed a phono preamp to be able to once again use my old, simple, very basic Technics SL 200q turntable. This simple “in-line” Emotiva XPS-1 Phono Preamp now shows how even this modest 40 year old vintage turntable (with an Ortofon cartridge) can sound wonderful. After confirming my cartridge’s operating impedance through Ortofon’s excellent website, I selected the corresponding operating impedance for left and right channels on the Emotiva XPS-1, connected it with my RCA connects, powered it via the supplied power supply, and began enjoying my old LP collection. This transported me back in time, and my old turntable sounds better than ever! By the way, I have no regrets purchasing the XPS-1 as an Emotiva factory renewed product; it arrived in wonderful condition only showing signs of very gentle use that I dare to say would be expected upon even the first careful install by the most careful of audiophiles. I highly recommend both the XPS-1 as well as the Emotiva factory renewed option!
