My daughter began Columbia University August, 2016. As a college freshman and Cross Country/Track Team Middle Distance Runner for Columbia, I wanted her to be as comfortable as possible. Well, when I read the ad for Hyphen Mattress I said, "That's Comfort!" I knew she would love it and she does LOVE IT! Her feedback includes, "Mommy this is the best mattress I have slept on my entire 18 years of life" and "Mommy thank you for all you have done and provided to help me move into my dorm room especially that MATTRESS"! Before submitting this review I did ask her, "what's your favorite sleeping position"? Her response was, "every position". Thank you for helping me look good as a Proud Momma. On my fourth night with the Hyphen and while not yet 100% sold on it being perfect its miles ahead of my prior Sealy Posturepedic. I'm finally sleeping soundly for 7 to 7 & 1/2 hours. No tossing or turning and taking me way less time to fall asleep. I'm waking refreshed for the first time and have more morning energy than I have ever had before. What's exceptional is that the cooling effect is there and I can sit on the edge and get dressed as there is better edge support than I expected. The Hyphen gives but returns its shape very quickly on changing positions. If there's a negative, it's a feeling of floating that I'm just not used to having switched from a innerspring mattress & box-spring to a memory foam on a slatted platform. Its dizzying at first but quickly resolves. I'm not sure if its a common complaint but its something that is short lived as you fall asleep that much quicker. There's zero smell unlike some comments I have seen from other memory foam mattress reviews. I narrowed down my choices with the SleepSherpa which is a really great independent site and was able to narrow it to the Hyphen, Love or Bear. In the end I feel my choice was the right one but I'll need a few more days to confirm this.

This is the best mattress I have ever slept on. I am an adult with back pain and this is the most comfortable mattress ever! I have tried them all in my past. This is super thick and of excellent quality. I highly recommend it and bought a second one for another room. Love it!

Sleep well every night

I'm a large person 220+ lbs this holds me perfectly.

I recently purchased this mattress as a last resort to be able to sleep in my bed again. After having both hips replaced it became impossible to sleep in my bed. There were no comfortable positions to be found, and trying different mattresses did not provide any relief. I have a Sleep Number Bed and even the option of raising and lowering the head and foot did not offer any relief and I woke each morning stiff, sore and as tired as I was when I went to bed. Finally, I began to sleep in my recliner which kept me on my back and off my hips, so at least, I was able to get some restful sleep. I kept looking for an alternative mattress option and happened on an advertisement for the Hyphen. It's construction was impressive and it was not made of memory foam which was one of the options I had previously tried and only sank down and felt suffocated, then had a very difficult time climbing out of the hole created by my body overnight. Hyphen offered a one hundred night free trial period with return pickup from my door for no charge. With that guarantee, I felt confident about trying one more option, so I ordered. The mattress was delivered promptly and came in a box that I was able to move myself. It is best to remove the mattress from the box, then put it on your bed before you remove the plastic wrapping because it will expand rapidly to its full size and this will save you having to pick it up off the floor to get it on your bed. I am so glad I decided to take one more chance on the Hyphen. It is by far the most superior mattress that I have ever slept on. I don't sink into it like I did the memory foam, and it doesn't leave an indentation of my body when I get up in the morning. I wake up rested and I am sleeping for a longer period of time than I have in many years. This mattress also works well with the Sleep Number Frame and I am able to raise the head and foot of the Hyphen mattress to find my most comfortable sleeping position. Not only do I *think* I am sleeping better on my Hyphen, I KNOW I am sleeping better. I use an app to track my sleep, and my sleep quality was down in the 30-50% range for months. I got the Hyphen mattress, it has been in the 80-90% range. Nothing else changed, not even the type of sheets I have, so I know it's the mattress. This is seriously the best sleep I've ever had in my life, and I am a lifelong insomniac/sleep sufferer. Thank you, Hyphen, for rescuing my nights!!

While I I initially felt my Hyphen was too soft, compared to the foam mattresses I slept on in Europe, I find myself getting more restful sleep and not waking up multiple times during the night.

I do have to say I had to return my bed because it was too firm for me because I sleep on my stomach. However! I called Hyphen to return my mattress and had the pleasure of talking to Jared. He was beyond understanding on why I wanted to return my mattress and offered ways to make it feel better. After I told him I just wanted to return it he didn't put up an argument or anything. Such a great experience!

Absolutely one of the best Mattresses i've ever slept on. After researching 1000s and 1000s of different brands, Hyphen had the best reviews and highest quality. Happy I did my research because these reviews were definitely accurate! My boyfriend and dog are even obsessed- it's soft on the outside but firm underneath, so it cradles your curves and provides support unlike anything a traditional innerspring mattress can do. Not only is the packaging extremely aesthetically pleasing, but it comes in a small vacuum sealed box and inflates before your eyes! Another plus is that the Hyphen doesn't give off any chemical odor! I wake up in the same position I fall asleep in... no tossing or turning. Overall, great product and I couldn't be happier.

Both my wife and I have some problems. She has had a shoulder that has been bothering her for about 6 years. I broke my neck in a work related incident. She absolutely loves the results of sleeping on our new Hyphen mattress. I have to say there is a little bit of relief in my neck pain, but it's still a little early to tell as we've only had our mattress for about a month or so. I do sleep well on it, but I was hoping for a miracle that only God can create.
