Just received my Platinum Base and I was very surprised at how small the shipping box is. But when I opened it up and unfolded it I was even more surprised at how well it is constructed. I am also pleased on how firm and solid the whole base is. My old box spring was just too flexible and made it hard to get in and out of bed when I had my 9 month old grandson on the bed with me (twin mattress). It had lots of flex in the middle, not anymore. Oh, and I love my mattress too, which I have had for over a year. The new base just makes it better.

We placed two twin xl hyphen mattresses together to create a king sized bed. My husband snores quite loudly (no apnea) and I was waking up all night even with ear plugs. I heard foam mattresses can have less sound transfer than coil spring mattresses and two separate mattresses even if touching can help even more. I am happy to say I only wake up once or twice a night now I hear his snoring a lot less. I am still wearing earplugs but sleeping better. Better yet, I am less achy while I sleep and when I wake up, a pleasant unexpected bonus. Thanks for the improved sleep.

My base was damaged in transit. I called customer service and within days I had a replacement with no hassle. My son loves his bed. He continues to tell me how much on a daily basis.

My husband has bone cancer and we have spent thousands of dollars trying to find a bed that helped ease his pain. Nothing worked and he was in so much pain every morning. My sister recommended the Hyphen bed and after only a week he felt so much better. The pain will never go away, however he sleeps well now and feels better and better every morning. I'm not a small guy and I have the joy of severe back pain. It's just something you learn to live with. When my wife started to experience some back pain, I decided to do some research. After comparing Hyphen with some other mattresses I decided to pull the trigger. I have never slept so goon in my life. Do not hold your energy level and comfort hostage with some old pillow-top. Step up your sleep game.

Pros: My wife and I are both very pleased with our Hyphen mattress purchase. Shipped very quickly and arrived in about 4 days. A lot more sleep as we don't have to keep turning side to side to find a spot that doesn't hurt from laying on it too long. After 3 days my hound dog sense of smell could no longer detect any foam odor and loving it. This mattress is both good and bad...good for how comfortable it is, and bad when it feels good enough that you just don't want to bother getting up at all anymore LOL:) Anyway I sleep on my side a lot and on our old mattress I would have to keep turning as my shoulders would hurt from the pressure...not so with the Hyphen. Edge is firm enough for sitting on without any real difficulties. We are both sleeping much better and waking more rested! Cons: Actually the only con that comes to mind was the slightly irritating smell, to me, that it had when first opening the box...that didn't completely disappear for about 3 days. My nose has always been extra sensitive to irritants of any kind...my wife wasn't troubled by it at all. Now that it's finished gassing out it's a wonderful bed!

I did a lot of research before investing in a mattress that I was never able to actually lay on. I have been in love since the moment I first sat on my mattress. The ordering process was simple and straight forward and arrived quicker than expected all the way to Canada (although I was not informed that I would receive an invoice for the duty charges). The unpacking and set up was also very easy and fun! I have always enjoyed sleep, but I honestly look forward to getting in to bed every single night knowing that it will be a heavenly experience. I used to experience pinched nerves, lack of temperature regulation and just plain uncomfortable sleeps, but not anymore! I can't say enough positive things about this mattress and I have been telling all of my friends about it :) Great work Hyphen!

I really wanted to love this mattress, but it was a but too firm for me. However, I still think you should give it a try. The customer service was great! They would respond immediately and would be really helpful. The return was easy and went smoothly! I hope maybe they come out with a softer model!

I was very skeptical at first that a mattress in a box could be such a dream come true. I've had my Hyphen now for nearly 3 months and I cannot believe I waited so long to buy one. I no longer have back pain, it sleeps very cool, and I love how the mattress cradles you, but you don't feel you're being sucked in. I genuinely love going to bed now.

We had ordered another mattress online and ended up having to return it, so my husband and I were skeptical to try another online/boxed mattress, but everything about Hyphen seemed to fit our needs. We are SO glad we decided to try again and go with Hyphen! The plush top with the firm support is exactly what we were looking for, we both slept better the very first night. Also, shipping was extremely speedy, and living in Alaska that is a HUGE plus. Thank you Hyphen!!

4 stars for the ease of ordering- I received my bed the day after I ordered it. It was easy to set up and everything about the ordering was easy. We've slept on it for just over two weeks and we're just not sure yet if we like it. The bed feels firm and we're used to a softer mattress. I do sleep cooler than my previous mattress so that is a big plus. I'm not in love with it yet, I wish it was softer.

Literally, after the first night of sleeping on my new Hyphen mattress, I actually slept 7 hours straight! I haven't done that in years. My back (which has 3 herniated discs) would wake me up in the middle of the night, every night. Not with this mattress! So incredibly happy with this purchase!!!

Great Mattress

We love this mattress. Only complaint I have is I can find an easy method of taking on vacations with us. Hyphen has a 100 day trial, try it!!! We definitely have zero regrets!
