This Denon replaced a dead Onkyo system and as soon as I got it hooked up, I could hear a difference. I'm no audiophile by any means but the sound was noticeably better. Then after I did the Audyssey calibration it was even better.

It's a refurbished unit so there's that. . . . . I'll take my chances but it all started on wrong foot! Got it all hooked up, loaded batteries into remote and fired it up--------but nothing happened! Swapped out to American batteries and still NOTHING! After significant diagnoses, called CS, explained problem, answered many questions and they offered to send a new remote. Got it a week later and NOW, I can finally enjoy this receivers benefits. Sadly, Denon chose NOT to provide an operating manual and CS suggested that I print one from the website_____147 pages! INK is expensive

amazing sound

Very easy set up for the speaker arrangement I decided on. (7. 1 Atmos). Easy selection of sound dynamics. The receiver synced with the Samsung TV remote. I am still determining the best sound for what I watch on the TV. The Audrey sound set up makes it easy to set the perfect sound as to where I seat in my Theater room.
