I purchased this item to replace the exact Dansk casserole my mother gave me when I moved into my first apartment as a sophomore in college in Brooklyn, NY. It was, perhaps, her favorite cooking vessel, so I truly valued it and her sacrifice. I treasured that pot and the meals I created with it for over 58 years when it finally "gave out!" Because of the sentimental value, I resisted replacing it, but finally took my son's advice and bought a new one. It wasn't until I received the pristine replacement from Dansk, that I realized how well used the casserole my mother had given me. The new one is beautifully enameled and finished. And it's HEAVY! I love it and plan to bequeath to my son when I pass on. A great product and a great purchase and delivery experience; satisfaction by any definition of the word.

We purchased a set of this design, Generation, when we married in 1969, still use it, and we are happy Dansk is again making it. We didn't have this soup bowl, and it looks great with our dinner service.
