I really wanted to fit in a sheepskin flight jacket, but it was not meant to be. Customer service was great in assisting in sizing and the return and thus I came to have my SWO Jacket and a G1, the latter is in production as my size was back ordered. The SWO is a very nice and smart fitting jacket. I am currently 5’9”/184# with a 43” chest and 40”-41” waistline. I fall between a 44 and a 46. Since I am getting back my fighting trim a bit at a time I went with the 44 which fits slightly snug. This a trim fit given that my size in an A2 is 44. It is a light and beautiful jacket in sturdy goatskin, my first goatskin and I understand the hype now. I am not a SWO or even a navy guy, army for me, but it is a sharp looking black jacket and I recommend it.

The G-1 Flight Jacket with the Removable Collar is one of the best jackets I've ever worn. It is very high quality. The wait was worth it. Everywhere I;ve worn the jacket; people have commented how much they like it. I would tell anyone who is interested in this particular jacket to consider going up two sizes since it is very form fitting (if you prefer a looser fit to layer in the winter). I am 6 feet tall, 178 lbs, 42 inch chest, 32 inch waist and very athletic. I bought the 44 inch and it fits me perfectly with little room for layring. But that's how I wanted the jacket to fit. It kept me very warm this past winter. If you call Cockpit USA and speak with them, they will get you the right size the first time based on how you want the jacket to fit. If you want a true flight jacket based on the vintage jackets from WWII, Cockpit USA is the place to shop. They follow the patterns and materials used for the vintage jackets and the quality is top notch. You wont be dissapointed. I have been in USMC aviation for 20 years with most of my flight time in the UH-1N and I can verify that the G-1 is much warmer, heavier, and vastly better looking then the nomex I wore on active duty. Get the jacket. . . You won't be dissapointed.

This is my second A-2 jacket from Cockpit USA. The jacket is great quality and true to the original from World War II. The horse hide is soft and a nice shade lighter than my other A-2. These jackets are a master piece of clothing and nostalgic. I love wearing them every chance I get.

If I did have a complaint it would be that when attempting to ship to an APO address the system says that you can't. However, a simple phone call was all that was required. I've bought two jackets from you and I always get compliments.

I retired in 2013 after 42 years in Military, Oil Company, US Government, EMS and Airline Transport Aviation. In that time I had 10 Flight jackets and since then 2 others. I won some money in 2023 and decided to buy a High Dollar, Quality G-1 with removable collar from " The Cockpit". This is the best jacket I've ever had and love it! Good looking, warm, good fit and I get compliments from retired and active pilots. Wish I'd bought it 10 years ago!

Great company with an excellent product line. The G-2 mod Raider jacket was the 4th jacket I've purchased from Cockpit USA, fits great and looks even better, every stitch quality. Also have the G-1 with removable collar and the Maverick A-2, both fit like a dream, and look great, have had a lot of compliments on both. To change things up a little I recently also purchased the nylon MA-1 bomber jacket, it's a quality jacket. Being a veteran I'm partial to military looking jackets and Cockpit USA does a great job replicating these jackets, also it's great buying products made in the USA.
