We have stayed at tent sites 3 times in the last 3 years, and it is always a great experience. Definitely exceeds camping anywhere else, since you are only a 1 minute walk from one of the world's best beaches! The only reason I marked down from 5 stars is because we were sad to see so many of the tent sites replaced with permanent-structure yurts. It changes the ambiance, view, and diminishes the amount of affordable sites.

Cinnamon Bay, I love you! How do I count the ways? I love going to sleep to the sound of the waves. I love waking up for a quiet walk on the beach to enjoy the sunrise with the pelicans and a few early-risers on their paddle boards. I love renting kayaks for a family snorkeling adventure. I love to be at the campground among other nature-lovers of all ages. The one thing I don’t love? Mosquitoes. But they love me. Ugh. But they could not keep me from enjoying myself and they will not deter me from returning!

Such a great experience for me and my friends! It is so pretty much prettier than anything in the United States keep it up!! I will come back soon!! 😛

We stayed in a cabin for 8 days in March. As a long time visitor (30+ years), we were very worried that these changes would disrupt the natural beauty of the beach and campground. We were pleasantly surprised to see only positive changes. It is great that the restaurant and bar area are so busy and filled with activities. The tents look nice and everyone that we talked to said they were very comfortable. The store has a great new look with more items available. Some of the important things that have remained the same are the beauty of Cinnamon as well as Mary and Gertrude. You ladies have been the face of Cinnamon as long as I have been coming and you are the best! Thanks for always making us feel at home.

We just returned from spending 2 weeks in paradise on St John. This was our 4th year staying at Cinnamon Bay after many years of staying at Maho Bay Camps. It was great to reconnect with friends that we've made over the last few years. It was also good to see former Maho staff working at Cinnamon Bay in various capacities. Mary and Gertrude were always very pleasant and knowledgeable anytime we had questions or requests. The cottage that we stayed in was rustic but comfortable, similar to previous years. The improvements to the restaurant and bar area were a nice change. Mary was a great bartender. Very accommodating, friendly and made great drinks. The addition of free wifi was nice, but part of what makes Cinnamon Bay special is the ability to stay unplugged . We only ate in the restaurant a few times. Service was prompt and friendly, but the dinner menu could have used a little more variety and additional spices. We look forward to returning next year.

We had a great time. Best part was the staff and the new infrastructure that has ben built. I'd prefer more kid-friendly programs. I'm looking forward to new cabins

I love the Cinnamon Bay Campground, and think it is a national treasure. I enjoy the woods and forest, the trails and especially the beautiful beach and waters. I was just thinking about my wife and I and our late afternoon swims to the Kay. Such a wonderful intense experience. I have camped on the grounds 3 times, and I am sad to say that this past experience has made me wonder whether or how I can come for a fourth visit. The price of the eco-tents will make this cost-prohibitive. My wife and I are looking forward to hearing more about your improvements and will make a decision as to whether we can afford to and would like to return to our much beloved Cinnamon Bay. We really enjoy the staff and the natural beauty of the campgrounds is truly a gift to all Americans, a gift we are fortunate to experience. Jeff and Judy

We just returned from a 7 night stay in the new Eco Tents and loved every minute of it. The tents were spacious and beds were comfortable and we had about a 10 second walk to the beach. The tents are minimal and could use some shelving as there is no place to put towels. There were also no utensils to cook or eat with. We bought most of our food at the grocery store and cooked on the propane grill. The lanterns only worked sporatically so we were happy to have our head lamps. The biggest drawback is the quality of the lunch and dinner food at the restaurant. Somewhat expensive, small portions and very bland. The breakfast sandwhich however was excellent. Bathroom and shower facilities were clean. The staff was accomodating and very friendly. Overall, it was an amazing experience. I can't wait to return next year!

I love Cinnamon Bay and am glad that the new company is providing an infrastructure upgrade. The staff are always polite and helpful. The only problem that I had was that the new Eco-tents were not correctly designed for that climate. Our tent leaked from the main seams and the company would not reimburse us. The tents did not have a rain canopy on them. Since this was a company design flaw they should have compensated us for their error.

We loved out stay at Cinnamon Bay. It is our favorite place and is so peaceful and relaxing!

Cinnamon Bay is the perfect spot for a camping weekend. The facilities are fantastic--outdoor showers, a beach shop, a rainforest cafe (with wifi!), and a front desk staff ready to serve. I especially appreciate Mary, who seemed to mother us all and solve every problem. The beaches are beautiful. It truly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thank you so much for being there! My time with you changed my life. My heart is still on the island.

I stayed for 5 nights in the new eco tents in March 2017. They were very nice -- comfortable bed, nice breeze, sounds of the water nearby. I loved all the amenities --- good restaurant, grocery store, beach shop w/ chairs to rent and most importantly - the beach only 50 yards away. I enjoy camping --- so this was perfect for me. I would definitely return.

We enjoyed our stay at the campground. Would have liked to have a mini fridge for the price paid though. One nights lodging would buy it. Everyone was pleasant and nice.

Any of you that have been to Cinnamon Bay will understand when I say that it touches a special place in your heart. When we were there last month we talked to a lady that had been coming there for 35 years. That is not that unusual. Considering St John in my opinion is the most beautiful island in the Caribbean with many very pricy options this campground is a bargain. We stayed in the cabins which are rustic but comfortable. No air conditioning but if there was you would not be able to hear all the night sounds. Cinnamon is my happy place

The ladies at registration, Mary and Gertrude, really are the heart and soul of the place. They are what keeps us returning besides the views and the beach😀😀😀
