This is such a sweet dress, and I’m a sucker for tulips! Curious if I should have sized up to accommodate bust size, but I’m not sure if the large would feel too big, but the fit is good nonetheless! 5’2”, 160ish lbs postpartum and a 36F bra size

Great brand

I’ve been buying from Christy Dawn for over 8 years. Their quality is shown within each garment; many are true heirloom pieces. They’re one of the brands I’ve chosen* to continue to support over the years because they (overall) hold such good ethical practices and have (again, overall) been removed from the “mainstream agendas”. That said, I really appreciate how they give so many similar minded stewards platforms. Supporting the brand, is supporting them as well. A few of my favorite styles that I always look forward to seeing in new prints in are the: Adele, Brynne and Emma. Let’s bring back more pinks and the dainty florals y’all started with many years ago 😉.

TL;DR size down and the dress leans more pink than white but it's beautiful The craftsmanship that went into making this dress was clear immediately out of the packaging - it's a beautifully constructed piece. This is my first Dawn dress (though I have others from CD) so I ordered my normal size small. For reference I am 5'8'' 120 lbs; 34 x 26 x 31. The fit is boxier than anticipated but tightening it at the waist causes the front to gape. I was also surprised by the slightly puffier shoulders. The color of the pearl embroidered shade is much more pink in person, which now looking at the photos, I think is more obvious (I really just wanted a white Dawn dress that I was clearly ignoring the signs!) Overall, despite the price, this is a dress I imagine handing down to my daughter one day - the constructions is that good. In a world where $300 cotton dresses are now seemingly the norm, I am happy to pay for this level of quality and commitment to sustainability.
