I never got to throw the UFO but drilled several new it was one of the strongest balls on the market. The UFO is no exception. With the eTrax hybrid cover this all is a bit smoother and cleaner. For me it stores a bit more energy and has a lot of backend. I found I can move in and get a different shape this is a ball you can play just about anywhere with any style. I took the cover down to 2000 and really fits my game. If you’re looking for a new strong ball asym hybrid that can cover a verity of conditions and need a strong ball you should take a good look at the UFO Alert.

Review Dark Code R2X Pearl Cover 1500 Polished RG: 2:50 Differential: 0.058 PSA: 0.020 Drilling: 55 x 3 ¼ x 45 What a surprise!! This is the first ball I have thrown in the Code series. I never know what to expect when I drill up a Asym ball, the Dark code really surprised me. It has the smooth ball motion that I really like very predictable, and man does it pick up down lane. This ball makes me look like I have a ton of rev rate which I don’t. I believe this is what gives this ball some crazy carry when it hits the pins. For the past several months the Zen Pearl has been the first ball out of my bag. When the Zen goes a little to long and will not quit finish out comes the Dark Code. I can move in a little and know this ball will come around the corner. It is very predictable reads the mid-lane very well and its crazy off the spot. The Dark Code a strong smooth Asym pearl good continuation. It allows me to play straighter and move in when needed. The 900 Global Reality has a low RG value of 2.49 a high differential of 0.052 and a low intermediate differential of 0.018. 900 global came out with a new cover core combination of the S84 Response Solid Reactive and the Disturbance Asymmetric Core. The Disturbance core was designed with a focus on a shape that will fill a space with the least amount of material, yet still yield the RG/Diff values that all bowlers need. The S84 Response cover promotes up to 20% larger pore sizes which in turn ensures maximum traction on heavy oil. In addition, the Reality will rival the original Volatility with the S86R cover that was an asymmetric hybrid. In the videos you will see how the cover core combination comes together with an early revving motion in the heads combined with a strong backend reaction. In my bag the Reality will be the first out the bag for a heavy oil pattern and maybe on a fresh house shot depending on how much oil is in the mid lane. Then you can ball down to a 900 Global Zen to blend the wet/dry. I did a ball comparison to the 900 Global Zen, Storm Proton Physix and Roto Grip Rubicon. In comparison to the 900 Global Zen, the Zen will be a litter more smoother the mids due to having a symmetric pearl coverstock but a touch more reactive on the backend giving you an option to open up your angles. The Storm Proton Physix drilled pin down can give an option to ball down from the Zen when the lanes become a little dryer and more cliffed. The Roto Grip Rubicon will give you an option to use on the burn while being able to play around the same area as the other pieces.

The Fast Pitch is the newest ball in the thunder line and Storm's newest Urethane Ball. The fast pitch fits perfectly between the Pitch Black and Pitch Purple in terms of overall strength and continuation. The fast pitch to me is a great "benchmark" urethane ball and it isn't as early rolling as the Pitch Black and not as angular as the Pitch Purple. I prefer to use this ball on short oil and sport patterns as it really controls the backend. As lane surfaces become older and oil becomes less, it is pertinent to have bowling balls that don't read the front of the lane as strong but has stronger midlane roll. This Fast Pitch really accomplishes that task and gives a lot of the right ball motions that are really needed for a urethane ball. If you have a Pitch Black that is too strong or a Pitch Purple that you can't use as much as you want, then this Fast Pitch is the ball for you!
