While the course was very informative I found it too long. A lot of the information could’ve been provided in a shorter format. It’s hard to watch 3. 5 hours of videos when you are a working parent. They suggest you toilet train between 20-30months. My son was slightly older and I still didn’t use the praise “I bet you’re proud”. I don’t think young children even know what the word proud means. The course also needs to outline what to do when your kid refuses to poo on the toilet as their suggestions don’t work and the child ends up constipated. Although in saying that, not every child’s issues are the same. An outing is also not ‘walking to the letterbox’ when your letter box is right outside the door. Overall a lot of the course I took with a grain of salt as the suggestions won’t suit everyone and they certainly didn’t suit me. While it was a good introduction to toilet training, it’s not worth the money - $37 AUD for me.
The content is good and helpful. The extra commentary and sarcasm are beyond irritating. I'd rather have the content without the fluff. Or provide it in written form so those of us who don't want the extra can just get the facts.
This course was great. I had tried so many different potty training methods but my daughter is very strong willed and I couldn’t get anything to work until this course
We previously were unsuccessful and within 5 min of your 3c’s we quickly identified why. This was GREAT for us and after 3 days our daughter was telling us when she needed to go potty. We will continue to reference the videos as hiccups arise but very satisfied with these resources!
Already reviewed.
The course was okay. Not great
Potty training module wasnt helpful at all. Didnt like the way it was explained and for the amount, not enough resources. Very basic and can get the same information and better from free resources or spotify.
So helpful with potty learning!! Thank you so much!
Amazing!

I found the Big Little Feelings potty training course about halfway through day 1 of potty training my almost-3 year old. I thought I was prepared to get started having read other guides, talked to my toddler about the potty for months, purchased plenty of underwear, and so on, but nothing really prepared me for any kind of resistance. I felt like the classic three-day methods out there had set us both up for failure and despair. I came across the Big Little Feelings course in a parenting forum, having never heard of this team before. In my desperation, I gave it a shot, and I’m so glad I did. Their grounded, realistic approach to this process was exactly what I needed to get through that first day and the days after. It equipped me with essential tools for handling pushback and challenges, which are still serving me two weeks in. Overall, this course helped me manage my expectations, better empathize with my child as he went through this massive change, and take pride in our wins.
I thought this class was overall really great & helpful! We still have yet to put everything into practice, but the "getting ready" portion is helping us to talk about the potty so our girl will be more prepared. The few extra things I would have loved to have: a sample schedule for each day/phase + an outline of each module. Now that I've watched everything, I would love to have some notes (my bad for not taking any myself) of everything that was discussed that I could easily refer to.
The Big Feelers Course was incredibly validating and helpful for me as a parent of a big feeler. I am also a licensed clinical professional counselor who has done a lot of research on highly sensitive children, and I can honestly say this has been the most helpful parenting resource I’ve used. The course helped me completely reframe some of my biggest struggles with my child’s emotions—not as problems to fix, but as opportunities for connection and regulation. Even with my professional background, I learned new, practical ways to support my child, stay grounded myself, and help him build emotional regulation skills in a way that actually works in real life. This course strikes a rare balance between being compassionate, realistic, deeply supportive, and genuinely usable in the hardest parenting moments. I recommend it wholeheartedly to parents—especially those raising highly sensitive or big-feeling kids.
I started the potty journey with my 2. 5 year old having very minimal education and after the first day I felt so overwhelmed and discouraged. I’m so happy I found the potty learning course on Big Little Feelings. Deena and Kristen made everything so clear and concise, I truly felt empowered and ready to restart our potty journey with a whole new perspective. I highly recommend for parents!
3 days is a totally unrealistic goal for toileting independence
It works!
The presenters seem like very nice people, so this review is not my personal. The course was excruciating to watch. The useful tidbits are far and few between, with unnecessary repetition of platitudes. All the actual information about how the training will go down in easily found online for free in better formats. For how long it is, one also leaves with incomplete information (ie no discussion of typical scenarios, when it might be time to stop training, etc). I regret buying this course, I do not recommend it, and I will not be buying anything from BLF in the future. Even reviewing was unnecessarily repetitive. In filled in a form embedded in the email, and when I clicked “submit review,” I was taken to a landing page where I had to fill everything in again. Goodness.
Unfortunately, this program did not work for our family as written. Our daughter is 22 months old, and we decided to begin potty learning because she has a sibling on the way. My husband and I took the course together, supported each other, and followed the 3-day program exactly as outlined. I do want to share that the program did provide a great foundation. It helped our daughter learn to notice and identify her body cues; however, she was not yet willing or able to act on those cues independently. For her, this turned into five days of consistently refusing the potty whenever we offered or asked her to check in with her body. By the middle of day five (after nap time), we had zero successful full pees on the potty initiated by either her or us, and we began discussing whether to pause and try again after the baby arrives. While I truly love Big Little Feelings and wanted to support their work, we only began to see success after we stopped offering a choice and instead calmly told her it was time to sit on the potty for a minute. We also introduced occasional rewards without any expectations for more or needing one every time. With those changes, she finally started using the potty successfully, and within four days of stepping away from the program—and less than two weeks into potty learning overall—she was able to attend an NFL game without any accidents.
Great information provided in the classes. My daughter did not successfully get potty trained but we are still working on it and using strategies from the videos!
