I have a small collection of watches that goes back over twenty-five years. It includes watches from LeVian, Brera Orologi, Torino Lamborghini, a very special Omega Constellation, an overpriced Audemars Piguet and a beautiful little Rado, all of them with fond memories but they are not all a functional time piece under trying conditions. What was missing in my collection was a watch made by hand in Canada. Several months ago, I read an article in the Globe & Mail about a small company in Calgary that made a quality line of watches. This article came out just as everyone was going elbows up and promoting a buy Canadian product in face of Trumps tariffs. The Company noted in the Article was Barrington Griffiths (BG), so I looked them up online. I spotted a watch that caught my eye right away, their Viamastra Automatic, it’s not an overly expensive watch, but the look of the watch along with the review written on the Company and quoted in the Globe gave me a green light, and I don’t regret the purchase one bit. I wear the watch every day and many nights as well. I fall asleep not realizing that I’m still wearing it. It is very comfortable on my wrist. There are several qualities that I need in a watch. The first is reliability. I have worn the BG watch exclusively for over five months now and the watch has not lost a minute let alone two. I have spoken to the proprietors of BG, and I am very confident that if I ever have a problem with the watch, I know that I will be looked after. The second and most critical quality I need in a timepiece is that I need to be able to tell the time instantly with a glance. I drive a motorcycle, and I need to keep my attention on the road and the instruments. My BG watch face is simple yet elegant, the 12, 6 and 9 are in bold silver and super easy to read at a glance against the black face. Amazing watch. I apprecaite watches and all the nuance that the individual componentry brings. The fit and finish of this watch is exceptional and can easily stand side by side watches that are several thousands of dollars. The purple dialis vibrant and well finished. Lots of cool details, like the smaller 0 and 1 at 10 and 11 o'clocks. Great finishing on the movement in the back. Great to support a Canadian company.

Great watch, keeps time perfectly , love the white face easy to read. More important the wife gives it her seal of approval. Normal she hates anything I buy without her input.

This Sandon 2. 0 is an amazing watch . The craftsmanship and care taken to produce it is apparent the moment you pull it out of the box. Mark was great to deal with and it feels great to support a local small Canadian business that produces great products.

I am very pleased with the watch. I have worn it daily and it has become to current favorite of my collection. I particularly like the details on the minute and second hand. My only wish is that the strap was a bit longer. I have a relatively small wrist and it only just fits.

The quality is outstanding, from the beautiful dial and case finishing to the supple leather strap. It is very comfortable to wear and is in the sweet spot size wise. The movement is accurate and the price is suprisingly low - what a value. Highly recommended!

This is not a watch . . . . . this is a piece of art. So simple looking, so classic looking. Could not be happier with my purchase.

I needed a new watch, and after reading an article online about Barrington Griffiths, I checked out the website and really liked the look of the Viamastra. After getting the watch I liked it more than the pictures. The quality and craftmanship of the watch, the leather band, everything was spot on. This is the most I have spent on a watch, but I couldn't be happier with it. I would recommend anybody looking for a good quality Canadian made watch to seriously consider buying from Barrington Griffiths. I almost forgot when I purchased the watch from the website there was a posted 4-6 week delay for delivery, but I had the watch in less than a week.
