Comfy jeans but disappointed in “white” jeans purchase as colour is more buttery cream than white.

I love these pants, they're soft and comfortable and perfect for warmer weather. My only issue is that the sizing is super weird. There's plenty of room everywhere other than the waist! I'm a standard size 14, and always a size 12 in things that have a stretchy waist (I'm a size 14 in Betty Basics pants with a flat waist band). I bought 3 pairs of these pants in a size 14 just to be on the safe side, and while the waist did fit, the elastic is SO strong that after wearing it for an hour, it hurt my waist and left big red marks. I ended up buying a 4th pair in a size 16, and these fit much better at the waist, though everywhere else is very baggy. My recommendation is to definitely size up, maybe 1-2 sizes to ensure they're comfy.
