I bought the double-sided chainmail sponge, and it’s fantastic. I have a Darto carbon steel pan, which I LOVE, but I’ve been struggling to get it properly seasoned. I’ve tried several approaches to cleaning the pan after cooking, but I was always either too light (leading to lots of carbon buildup) or too heavy (scrubbing back the seasoning). I cooked up some hamburgers tonight and was able to get a very nice sear/crust, and cleanup was a breeze! The large links absolutely obliterated the leftover stuck on bits and the small links gave me an incredibly smooth surface for me to get another layer of seasoning. I am way more confident that I’m on the right track, and I would highly recommend this product to anyone. And a big shoutout to Kat on the customer service team who was super helpful!
Using cast iron for camping, I wanted something that was tough and easy to use/clean. I found the Chainmail scrubbers a perfect fit for camping and ended up getting one for use at home on stainless steel cookware. The first Chainmail dishcloth/scrubber I ordered was 7x5 inches, and as soon as i took it out of the package i noticed one of the chain links missing. BBQ-AID had a card in the package for "100% lifetime Guarantee against manufacture defects" so I sent them an email and photo. I quickly received an email back and Kat (fantastic representative) helped me get all the info i needed for the warranty claim and quickly got another scrubber on the way. With a warranty claim that easy, I'll be sticking with BBQ-AID for future products. The new chainmail scrubber/dishcloth is in perfect condition and I use it for the stainless steel pots/pans at home. The rolled edges of the chainmail don't seem to scratch up the pots compared to other stainless steel scrub pads, and the chainmail doesn't fall apart or wear thin when I'm using it. This chainmail dishcloth will last me the rest of my life.
Fast shipping. Nice product that does what it promises. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Where have you been all my life? My 100 year old cast iron pans love this! And so will you. Just needs a light touch!
Does the trick on my carbon steel pans. There are two sides, one coarse and one fine. This is easy to clean after use as well. It is also well built and should last a long time.
Fantastic scrubber - good value for the price - I use it on cast iron and carbon steel and stainless steel cookware. Easy to clean in the dishwasher and very sturdy have used other similar scrubbers that fall apart easily.
This tool is game changing for maintaining my cast iron pans. Wish I found it years ago!
Worth the price as long as it lasts. Easy to clean. Cleans stainless, glass, ceramic, and iron as advertised. The fact that it has silicone in it makes it easier to hold and allows for larger and smaller rings. Overall I'm impressed. Does not come apart like Brillo pads, which must be better for the environment and less wasteful.
I cook, which means I clean. This is the best product for cleaning dried on food detritus. I can get baked-on grease off of pans, even older pans. Most food wipes off with chainmail, and it does not scratch the finish! Nothing in my kitchen scares me any more.
Thrilled to finally have a stud and reliable grille bridge that doesn't leak bristles. A few years ago, I noticed that my big toe was inflamed and red. After a few gentle squeezes, out popped a bristle. No telling how long it had been there, but nonetheless, it had embedded in my toe. Kudos to you for making such a good, quality grill brush.
Love this scraper. Can't wait for grilling season to begin!!
I've had a stainless steel pan with a very stubborn build-up for years. With this little 'cloth', it is now GONE! The cast iron is next. That'll be an easier job!
Made of stainless steel with two sizes of chainmail covering a silicone core. This product makes cast iron cleanup a breeze. Happy with my purchase.
I use it on everything
Serves the purpose well!
I use this to clean my cast iron and carbon steel pans. I bought the Knapp Made Combo Chainmail specifically for the 2 different sized chains to tackle any stuck on/burnt on food. Like cleaning anything that is stuck on, a bit of force or elbow grease is needed to thoroughly ceal my pans, but I am able to effectively scrub off the burnt on food and clean of the sticky oil residue. I do not use dish soap, as you should not for cast iron or carbon steel pans. Plus I will always prep the pan by drying it off and applying a thin layer of oil to keep it conditioned. I recommend wearing gloves for two reasons, 1) using my bare hands, I have ripped some of my skin when using extra force to srcub clean, 2) all that grease and grime will get onto your hand and is a pain to wash off. Also, you may want to give the scrubber a thorough spray down to remove the bits that will get stuck inside.
Works fine. Was hoping it could replace steel cleaning pad since those fall apart. It does clean 90% but steel wool pad has finer grit that gets pans cleaner.
Fantastic scrubber. Very well made. Dual abrasive levels are very helpful
Love the products!!
Bought 2, so much better than the competitor I bought previously, and more affordable
