I was just recently tested and received the results today so it's way too early to determine how Base's suggestions will impact my overall health. I'm also still waiting to take another test (had to schedule a phlebotomist) and receive those results. Overall, I like how easy it was to test and get results and I like how thorough the results of the tests are and the recommendations to help improve test scores. That said, communication with Base reps is slow, often taking 1-2 days to answer a question and when trying to line up additional tests and medical professionals, it has been a bit challenging.

I have had concerns about my progesterone levels for a while now but my doctor said I was too young to be struggling with this . Base helped me soooo much. I confirmed my low progesterone and also got my cortisol levels tested. I am now directed in a very helpful direction and am on the way to correcting my imbalances!!

I've really appreciated the personalized attention and accessible customer care. This has been a great option for learning about how my body is functioning, and having the autonomy to make changes in an informed manner.

I received a Ferritin test from Base which really helped me understand my iron deficiency so that i can improve. That’s a test my doctor never recommended.

Base has helped me become aware of a broad spectrum of biomarkers that could use improvement. I value the affordability of the testing kits, the relatively quick turnaround for receiving results, and, perhaps most of all, the simplicity of shipping my tests to the lab(s) for processing. Although the specific biomarkers I am targeting have yet to show much change based on Base’s suggestions, I am grateful to have a way to track these aspects of my health. Thank you, Base, for giving non-insured simpletons such as myself a user-friendly way to take a proactive (and preventative) approach to their own well-being.

Even though I just started with Base, I am finding a lot of useful suggestions and it is enlightening to see where my health issues root causes lie.

I am very disappointed in my experience with Base. The recommendations did not take into account food allergies or diet preferences which made it hard to implement the recommendations. I also did not get results in the time frame indicated. Now months later I am getting advisory notifications telling me that some of my markers needed immediate medical attention which should have been indicated at the beginning when first getting the results. There was not enough information regarding the testing procedures including that one kit would be used for multiple tests.

I paid for the test and membership, then am required to pay more for advice? No thanks.

After purchasing 3 months ago, I've only just received my lab order, which is ridiculous

Some confusion over which tests can be done with which types of blood samples - it would be good to make that more clear

I liked the concept of being able to test at home without restrictions from insurance .. unfortunately that was not what I found with your company. You only allowed a certain amount of testing to be done at a time with a large gap of time before further testing would be allowed .. for ex thyroid function.. you imply via your advertising that I’d be able to get some of the testing done my doctor wouldn’t order. I of course found out that your company was as restrictive as my doctor lol.. what was the point of that. If I’m paying to test my own biology then I’d like to actually get testing and also get as much info as quickly as possible so I could take action. I am also an RN. When I asked questions of your staff they attempted to blow me off and were unable to help or answer my questions. When I get more labs done it will be with a different company unless you can change your model

I want to love this program so much but it has taken over 40 days to get my results, and I had to go back and re-do them because you had a system error. I am hopeful that soon I will have some answers but I'm starting to wish I just went to my naturopath. Disappointed.
