The Alpine ilx-407 is an awesome sounding receiver, it sounds better than the stock GM receiver that came in my Silverado, even with the OEM speakers. The settings are easy to use and I like that you can customize the screens. I was worried about it having enough power without an additional amp, but it's got plenty. I was even able to keep the steering wheel controls with an additional module. The Bluetooth connection works great and the phone sounds great I'm told

for the price i believe this is the best amp and if your looking to improve your sound quality you need an amp i tried just the head unit then head unit + speakers and while it did improve the sound the improvement was really small. after installing the amp the difference is night and day and why would you want to buy 2 amps when you can get just 1 for all 4 speakers + a sub especially when it would cost you around the same price
