The Gen2 is a great product so far! I like that you are in control of the sealing area and that it's easy to clean. The FoodSaver brand has more of a trigger setting that you cannot control when it starts to vacuum-the Gen2 seems much more user friendly and hopefully built for the long term!

I have been using my USVX Chamber Sealer for close to a month now and it has performed admirably. I'm still learning how to use it, but mainly purchased for sous vide as well as the ability to seal liquids. I also like using the accessory port to vacuum seal containers. Overall, it appears to be a quality product.
