The 2 products really cancel the noise -- but the standard panel did not fit my door.

Audimute 6 mm - luxury feel to plank vinyl floor. Applied Audimute 6MM underlay to retrofit imperfect slab concrete floor, finished with mid-grade laminate plank vinyl flooring. Audimute reduced overhead foot-fall vibration between floors. Easy install for smooth flat finish. Audimute gave a luxurious feel to retro-fit vinyl plank floor.

I am pleased with the sound effectiveness of the isole sound barrier sheet, in combination with the door sealing kit that came with it. The value for the price is good, and the product appears as advertised. I chose white/snow, which is neutral enough to match. It has made my home office enough soundproof against conversations elsewhere in the house that I can concentrate better! I encountered a few obstacles to installation and daily usage that are still workable but not ideal. First, the sheet was not quite long enough for my doorway. . . though I measured and it seemed to be "standard" I wasn't expecting how much space it needed at the top for the mounting bolts. My solution was to install and trim-paint a piece of 2x3 across the top of the doorway, and install the bolts into that instead - a complication in the install but not insurmountable. Second, because of the nature of the product, the finished side is to be installed facing the sound (in my case towards the hallway/living room where other occupants of my house mostly forget their "indoor voices"). This means, since my door swings into the office, that it is mounted at the hallway entrance, and I must squeeze through it when I enter & exit. I installed some loops at the bottom so that I can hang it up on the mounting hooks when I am not working, but since it still hangs down halfway, I'm ducking under to enter. Also, the thick heavy material which effectively blocks sound also blocks air circulation so it gets pretty stuffy in my office. There, too, workable but way less convenient than if I'd been able to mount it to open with the door itself so the air and I could enter more easily when it isn't noisy outside. . . on the other hand, it certainly blocks the sound better this way. Third, though the "snow" side presents well, since I'm constantly moving through it on my work-at-home days, there is now a "pick" on the backside fabric that doesn't look great from the inside, which is what shows when I han...
