Great place for reproductions of hard to find militaria. Though I sincerely wish they would offer a version of the USMC NCO sword that is high carbon steel & tempered, that is to say, a real sword. Even if it has to be not 100% authentic in appearance so as to not endanger their status as an official ceremonial NCO sword supplier.

Nice knife and fast shipping

First, I was very surprised by the shear size of the blade, lol. I didn't expect it to be that big. The finish is good, blade sides are fairly symmetrical, with a bit of a waver at the last inch or so (but I can live with that), and the point is good. Edges are even, so sharpening shouldn't be a problem. Tested the tang with a file and it looks like it might be running around 40-45 rockwell; a bit soft but not a negative with a blade that long. Overall, I like it!

I have given Atlanta Cutlery a high rating because I got my sword cane I had ordered which came after a two week delay because of inefficiency by the USPS in Birmingham Ala. Atlanta Cutlery was very fast in shipping my package out the next day after I ordered it. But they do not control the USPS. But their rep at AC kept me in contact by email to let me know I had not been forgotten and that they were keeping an eye on my package on their end. I would not hesitate to order from AC again as they even notified me when the package was finally delivered.

I am very pleased with the 1860 light cavalry saber. This is the "real" deal and not a stage prop; it is an edged weapon and must be treated as such. The saber belt is a bit large on me as I have lost weight, but it is well made also. The saber is even bearing the 'Ames' markings.
