AO makes high quality frames. Their weld is top notch. I have NASA certified wire and harness, and I can say the Pilot Skymaster are some of the best.

Simply amazing classic American look!

Website was easy to navigate, & there were lots of styles to choose from. They shipped quickly, especially during Christmas rush. Will buy again. Loved the style of the Saratoga shades!! Have been a Rayban man for decades.

The sunglasses I wanted had a quality-control issue, so they called me up and upgraded me to an even nicer pair free of charge. Excellent service. If anything goes wrong with your order, you can count on American Optical to set it right. Their customer service was polite, helpful, and friendly. As for the sunglasses, they are thick and heavy; you can tell they are much more durable and well-made than the cheap sunglasses Ray-Ban pumps out these days. I would choose AO over Ray Ban any day. I was surprised at how much better the materials are for the same price. If you want an American pair of sunglasses, nothing beats AO.

I ordered the silver Geoffrey sunglasses and I like the different aviator style with rectangle lenses and thick temples.

I purchased a pair of glasses during Black Friday weekend. The glasses arrived dirty in their packaging, felt light and cheap, and so I returned them. The return is still in process, but customer service was polite and responsive to my return request.

The agent who assisted my purchase recommended the type of lenses as the lenses from 1966 are no longer available. She was very helpful, the glasses arrived in a timely manner and my husband is very pleased with his birthday giftt.

This is my first pair of American Optical sunglasses, and it definitely won’t be my last. They’re proudly made in the USA, which I truly appreciate. The frame feels solid and well-built, with excellent attention to detail throughout. They fit perfectly, look great, and feel like they’re built to last for years. I’m already looking forward to adding another pair into my rotation. Keep making them in the USA, and I’ll keep buying them. 😎
