I had a rather non-standard application for these tubes; one of my granddaughters asked for a "steampunk" style walking stick. So I used the brass tubes to accessorize it. Hopefully the picture comes through reasonably well. Both grandpa & granddaughter are very pleased!

I ordered an "On-Off Turn Knob Antique Bronze Brass Socket" that was supposed to come with the shell and cap. What I received was just the inside of the switch.

These worked very well. However, I had one lamp that they did not fit on. Are there lamps that have different threads for its switches that you are aware of? The diameter was greater on the odd lamp.
