This is my 3rd American Giant Classic Full Zip Hoodie. I didn't realize this classic had been revamped - and even with the comparison, this is a good quality hoodie. But the old style was exceptional in every way. I'm so disappointed to see that all the language about maintaining the quality doesn't hold up: the new relaxed fit is mentioned and true, it runs quite a bit bigger than the old sizing. But the reinforced elbow patches are no longer reinforced but stitched in, the shoulders are no longer reinforced, the hoodie ties now slip through a cut and stitched opening rather than grommets, and the zipper is a steep decline in quality - it doesn't zip smooth and is sharp enough to cut you. The price went up (which I understand given... everything) but the quality truly declined and I'm sad about it. I fully expect my other 2 hoodies - @3 & 4 years old respectively - to last for 10 or more, truly the best hoodies ever made. This one, I might get 4-5 years of steady wear - again, a very good hoodie on its own.
