This product is accurately described as being made from very high quality linen. It looks great, is proportioned great, and feels great. It is thick enough to hold its shape, and very well ventilated so that you can walk a lot and not sweat. Comfortable from 60 to 80 degrees F. The blue color goes with everything and is not too bright and not too dark. I don't know about "chore coat" usage though, it seems better defined as a shirt or overshirt. Perfect for vacationing in Sicily, or in my real life which includes going to Trader Joe's and working in a non-airconditioned building.
