This blanket feels very sturdy, the colors are bright, and it's very warm. What more could you ask for in a blanket?

I've bought three Frontier Wool Blankets and Ashby Twill Throws from Faribault. The product quality is top-notch and customer service is excellent. The throws are a good size, the right weight, and are comfortable. They feel good and drape well (I suppose that's called their "hand") - substantial without being overbearing about it. Plus, they're made in the United States and are a marvelous testimonial to the quality of US products.

I purchased a blanket for Christmas because of the known and expected quality of the products made by the Woolen Mill.

I like a warm bed in a cool, 64 degree room. Tired of waking up cold in the middle of the night, I decided to try a high quality wool blanket in a solid color, that’s not scratchy. The Lakefront Wool Blanket is perfect. Merino wool is one of the softest yarns going, and this blanket did not disappoint. The king size was generous, fitting the bed with the plenty of overlap. And I loved the color called “natural” — a soft beige flecked with gray. This is a thin blanket, but I use it with a midweight duvet and the merino keeps me comfortable when the house is at 70 but also when the heat goes off and the temperature drops. I plan to buy one as a gift for my daughter.

I now have 2 of these throws, super product. These are very well made, comfortable and beautiful. Many throws are too small, this one is huge in comparison. You can buy imitations for less money, this is the real deal.

I purchased one for each bed in our home. I layered it over the flat sheet and a down blanket. We pulled the flat sheet up to fold over the top edges in efforts to keep them cleaner and prevent feeling the wool edges. Not that it’s super scratchy or rough, I’m more concerned about cleanliness. It hasn’t reached super cold temps just yet. Single digits a couple of nights- we are really impressed by the difference in the warmth. Layers make such a difference, and of course the right layers. It doesn’t have to be heavy to be warm. I researched awhile before deciding what blankets to purchase. I selected this wool one and a down one from Lacrosse. The temps in MN can be pretty frigid in the winter. The weight is perfect it’s heavy enough to feel cozy but not so that we suffocating at night. With these two layers I am no longer using the duvet cover or flannel sheets. Great quality. Quick. shipment. Proud it’s also local. Thank you!

We’re really pleased with how soft the blanket is, for a wool blanket. My son stays warm this winter with this blanket, a sheet below, and a matelasse above. Wool does such a good job of regulating heat! And we’re glad to buy from a US manufacturer. My grandfathers were WWII vets and had wool blankets issued to them from blanket manufacturers in the area. My baby blanket was lined with the repurposed wool from one of my grandfathers’ military issued blankets. Keep on making them for the next generation!

After we toured the Mill in Fairbault I just couldn’t help but order a throw. The meticulous detail and hand crafted labor to produce these products is amazing.

The blanket itself is well-made and warm. Washing was easy and it came out softer. Shipping was very fast. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase.
