Monday September 4th I was flying my Cessna 2. 1. At about 2 minutes into the flight, I took it up into a loop. Once inverted, at about 300 feet high, it stayed inverted as my transmitter started beeping that I lost battery and I had no control. It began descending slowly in big circles maybe 200 feet in diameter, staying inverted until it landed upside down after maybe 15 seconds. I know it was the ESC that quit and not battery loss as I tested it later with a good ESC everything functioned fine. I tossed the old ESC. The plane is too beat up although I could have fixed it. It looked like a dog went after it, cosmetically a complete mess. Good news, it wasn’t pilot error and now I have room for a new plane! I was surprised at how well it flew inverted all the way down, I couldn’t have flown it better. Knowing it’s a high wing, I would have expected it to slowly roll over to right side up. Is this because it was in failsafe and the gyro kept it circling perfectly inverted, or do the servos lock in one place?

I have recently reintroduced myself to the RC Plane hobby. The best website for RC planes is Horizon Hobby. I have ordered several items now to rebuild older planes that I kept as well as order new ones. I cant believe it is not filled with tutorials, graphs showing differences in each area, area to buy survos, and planes you want to build. Frankly im new to hobby and im sort of surprised you dont have more mechanically attractive planes. It seems they are all foam and im not sure the big foam planes are going to hold my interest.
