I have played on one violin for 60 years. It has served me adequately. But -- all I had to do was to take the Concertmaster model out of the case and pull the bow one time to know this was something special. The notes rang out in bright vibrant tones. The one note that amazes me most is B on the E string. I have never had a fourth finger note ring with such vibrancy. There is no doubt whatsoever when I hit the sweet spot with each finger. The violin just rings with all the overtones. Playing in higher positions has never been easier than on this violin. It has amazed me at how naturally I have taken to this instrument. It just feels great. My bowing has never sounded sweeter. No skipping. No squeaks. Just a full-bodied, resonant sound flowing from the instrument. I could not be more pleased. Even my teacher has remarked that my playing has advanced miraculously in just the few weeks I have had this instrument. He too is amazed. Wow, this bow is spectacular! I love both how it looks and how it plays. In fact sound-wise I can't tell the difference between my 100 year old Bausch Pernambuco bow and this new Prima hybrid bow. This bow feels good too, and doesn’t flop around on the strings like my old bow was starting to do. I had tried a couple of low-end carbon fiber bows in the past and they sounded awful and felt like I was trying to play with a random tree branch that I had picked up in the backyard. But this Prima bow feels just right and plays beautifully. I am duly impressed! I'm an intermediate player who loves to play Vivaldi and Bach, and now that I've found a bow that's so much fun to play and sounds so good, I see lots more playing time in my future. Plus, I'm happy to do my little part in protecting the rain forest by buying a hybrid bow.

Received my Parma cello yesterday...simply magnificent. The workmanship and aesthetics--outstanding. Fein customer service--some of the best I've experienced. The staff makes you feel like you've been life-long friends. (FYI: this is my 6th purchase from Fein) The Parma's tone: dulcet and resonant--what an ideal cello should sound like. Matched the cello with the Premier cello bow. A divine combination.

I'm a new player. My viola came with a generic fiberglass bow. And I got this one. (I actually bought the 89.00 student bow and they sent this one. I called and they said they have me a free upgrade so I wouldn't have to wait for restock) the difference this bow makes. It is by far the easiest to use and most responsive bow I have. I can honestly tell the difference the better bow has made in my playing. Thank you!!!

I needed a second cello bow and had been considering the Elite bow for a while, but Fein Violins then had a great sale so I upgraded to the Soloist. I learned, however, that the in-stock bows only had ebony frogs--I had my heart set on the snake wood--so, in the end purchased the Premier...absolutely beautiful craftemanship, but a bit more expensive. I am glad that I went ahead with the purchase though. Playing with this bow is the closest thing to Nirvana I've experienced. The bow eases itself across the strings producing a full, resonant, and dulcet tone. It is almost effortless. As I said--Nirvana.

I'm late in posting a review (so apologies for that), because I've had my Concertmaster since April 2020! It was in the early full swing of the pandemic. Andy was helping flatten the COVID curve by letting his employees stay home. Only Andy was in the shop, fulfilling all the orders. And at the time he was offering a deal on the Vienna model that I couldn't resist. However, on top of that great deal, he also ended up upgrading me to a Concertmaster, for which I was very grateful. And threw in a lower bridge, an amazing case, and a gorgeous upgraded bow. Now, even after this long, I'm still not much of a violinist. :) But I couldn't be happier with my Concertmaster, and what I think of as its mellow roar, which I love hearing.

This instrument is amazing! But so are the people at Fein Violins! If I could, I would give ten stars!! I called to inquire about purchasing a new cello and spoke with Diane, a lady with an infectious laugh. After she entertained all my questions, I explained I would need to think about it (aka talk to my wife about a substantial purchase). She thought that was a wonderful idea. Later that evening, I called back to purchase the instrument and had another great conversation with Diane. The process and the timeline for receiving the instrument were clearly explained to me and I settled down to wait for its arrival. I had originally ordered the Milan, but received an email from Andy saying that he didn't have any of the Milan instruments in stock and was upgrading me to the Venice so that I would receive my cello when promised! Wow! Who does this in this day and age?! I waited on its arrival like a kid waiting on Christmas! The cello came when promised - well protected and ready to be tuned and played. I was amazed at the sound of this cello. True to the description, this cello really does sing!! It is so easy to play and so hard to put down! I had added the upgraded studio bow to my order and Diane had explained that their cellist/expert would pick a bow for the instrument once it was finished. I would highly recommend upgrading the bow! I have several (not inexpensive bows) and this one is by far the best one I own. Whoever picked it did an amazing job! The cello itself is beautiful! The craftsmanship is amazing and the sound is stunning. Best of all, I know that it will only get better with age! Hopefully the same will be true of my playing! Thank you all so much! After trying different cellos from price ranges of $300 to $100,000, I am glad to say that this Cello is highly recommended! Beautifully made and beautifully warm with the Pro strings. If you’re a serious player and cannot afford above this price range, this is excellent. Thank you Andy for your hard work in creating this piece of art :)

We are very happy with our violin. It has great quality and price. The video of a person playing the each type of violin really help us with picking the right violin for our daughter. The seller was very pleasant to communicate with. Over all everything was excellent.

i love that there is enough room in the side compartments to hold a shoulder rest, as well as practice mute, rosin and other accessories. it fit my 16" perfectly, with adjustment available for larger. i did have to pad the "bottom" when i went to a 15 1/2", because the indention in the lid to allow for the bridge did not go back far enough, a small thing.

I have absolutely grown to love this cello. I purchased a beautiful viola from this shop several years ago and have been in love with it ever since. But I have also had a nagging desire to learn the cello over the years, so when I decided to take the proverbial "plunge" and invest in one, Andy Fein et al had already won my customer loyalty and appreciation--no question too small to take the time to answer. I can say this is a beautiful sounding instrument that improves the more it is played--any shortcomings in tone, which I still experience, are the result of the performer, not the luthier. It is sheer ectasy to feel progress on the instrument, despite its very incremental pace. No buyer's remorse here. Can recommend without reservation.

I was quite impressed with the prompt delivery of my violin. Mr. Fein was very thorough in describing the different options. He had very good advice as to which one to pick for my level. I ended up upgrading my bow and I’m very happy with that as well. Someday I hope to upgrade my violin as I progress. Mr. Fein’s company makes it affordable to upgrade and I look forward to doing business with them in the future!

I am an adult beginner and I had been looking for a quality cello that was not made in China. I had read all the reviews about Fein Violins and compared what they offered to other online vendors. I emailed the shop on a Saturday evening thinking I would get a reply sometime the following week. I got a reply on Sunday and it was from the owner Andy Fein. He answered my questions about the different models of cellos that he offered and made some suggestions. Andy was very responsive and even during the COVID 19 crisis he was offering a discount on some of the instruments that he has to offer. He worked with me in financing and being an adult beginner I wanted an instrument that would last as I learn. I inquired about a Don’t Fret sticker to put on the keyboard while he was building it and he did not carry this item. I sent him the information where to find it and he said he could include and install that for me, no charge! Well today, I received my nicely packaged 4/4 Milan cello just as ordered with the Don’t Fret sticker installed. Wow, I was blown away!! Great looking cello with stripes on the back, Whittner pegs installed, a hybrid bow, and hard sided case! He even included dampits, rosin a polishing cloth and polish as a bonus. The cello also has Larsen Strings! I believe now that I’m all set for my musical journey! I tuned the cello and now I am ready to break it in. By the way the lower register sounds great, just what I wanted. The cello that I had been renting a John Juzak will be returned shortly as I believe I have a keeper! Update: The cello had an almost invisible crack just below the foot of the bridge. I contacted Andy as soon as I noticed the crack and he had a replacement out within a week. He included a return shipping label for the cracked cello and the new one was received without any issues and just a beautiful as the first; minus the crack! We purchased this cello for my wife last winter and have been amazed with the tone, resonance and sheer beauty of this instrument. My wife plays it daily and it sounds better every month.
