Mostly False Alarms
Our family keeps a boat on an island eight hours from where we live. We appreciate the ability to have multiple sensors and an idea of what’s going on with our boat despite living quite a ways away. We usually visit the boat monthly and then spend a large portion of the summer on board. We have a door sensor, a high bilge sensor, A cabin temperature sensor, and geofencing setup to alert us if the boat leaves the marina. The only sensosr that have proven accurate are the door sensor and cabin temp sensor. We receive at least a few if not more than a dozen false alarms almost daily. The fun ones are when we are alerted that our boat has left the marina but when we call our neighbor they send us a photo of the boat still tied up in its slip. We have adjusted the sensitivity in settings numerous times and we have adjusted the position of the sensors a few times and yet we pay for a system that cries wolf more often than not. I like the concept, but I think there’s a lot of room for improvement.

Peace of mind
Just like my title says. My marina has power issues. Now with Sairen I am at ease knowing batteries are charged, bilge is dry.

3 weeks and not online.
Had a few issues with the Pro-3 base unit. Would not come online. Siren determined that the unit was issue, the sent a "new" one. Upon logging on it already had a name and account on it. They sent a "refurbished" unit. When I called them on it, they didn't deny it, only said that it passed review and was a good unit. Unbelievable. I'm still waiting for one of the sensors to come online for a few weeks now. They say it's on their end, maybe. They are holding back sending a new bilge sensor, but they may have too. All the while I been charged the full year for monitoring. Not even an offer to reduce the monitoring charge. Not so sure about Siren Marine.

I get a tremendous number
I get a tremendous number of false alarms. It great to monitor shore power and battery status but very poor on refrigeration/freezer temp and bilge status. Even the geo fence gives false movement info.

Quality of SW and App has diminished in the past few years
Three + years ago when I bought and installed the siren marine it was a very reliable system which I depended on. Over the past year and a half I have had many issues with the system, false alarms, sensors not reading reliably, delays, lock-ups, no GPS or cellular signal. All of this occurred after the acquisition by Yamaha and the software (both in the background and app) was being changed. In all cases it was related to the software or database. Please stabilize the SW and use regression testing to ensure the same long term reliability that you delivered 3 years ago.

I really enjoy having my boat data/info available wherever I am. It’s very convenient and was mostly simple to install. My complaint is that it is difficult to switch subscriptions from monthly to annual; may have to call in. The other issue is the GPS antenna that comes with the system: it is mounted 1” below the deck flooring it rarely picks up signal, and if it does, I get a random geofence warning occasionally. Other than that, I have no regrets buying the system and will likely purchase more sensors from them. Even as I write this review, the email link is not operating properly. Their software could use some tweaks. .
