My MacGregor MACSPD irons are easy to hit straight. They are also sharp looking since they have some old school look. The price was unbelievable compared to other hollow head irons. They are about half the cost.

Everything was shipped and arrived on time.

Have golfed with these clubs for about a month now and I really like them. My very first set, have about two years golfing now, but after rentals and borrowing clubs I can definitely say that having a proper length for clubs makes a clear difference in comfort and performance. 

 Overall these feel, sound, and look to be great quality. Great grips, pretty accent colors. Solid number of clubs for a starter set after looking at a handful of others out there making this a choice I was confident about. 

 One small downside is the bag doesn’t have a stand so head's up there, that’s a slight bummer but not something I considered a necessity.

I had a MacTec hybrid years ago and loved it. The new one is even better. I would like a stronger lofted option, if possible.

Just took delivery on a new 9 wood. First shot on a 155 yard par 3. Ended up 3 wet from hole. It launches like a 9 iron and will replace my 6 iron. Can’t wait to get used to it.

I purchased a custom 7 and 9 wood fit to my height, grip and shaft preference. Being a bit older, these clubs are my go to for any shot over 180 and inside 220. The feel and feedback is first rate. Love these clubs. A total bargain.

Buying straight from MacGregor was a pleasure. Customizations were easy, and the product was well described with photos, a video, and description. Once ordered, the putter shipped quickly (free shipping too!) and came well packaged such that it came to me in beautiful condition.

The MACSPD are such an incredible price/performance value, it’s hard to believe you don’t see more of them on the course, even though they are a direct to consumer product. I golf with a decent sized group of players at a private course and none had heard MacGregor had rebooted and were making clubs again. All of them were stunned by the look of these clubs in my bag. I would imagine most of the people reading this review are here because of a certain website that gave high marks for accuracy/forgiveness, but not-so-high marks for distance. I am here to say that I have noticed no difference in distance at all and they are as advertised as far as forgiveness and accuracy. Obviously you still have to line up your shot and get the clubhead on the ball - these are not a magic wand after all – but they do fly true, get the ball into the air and mishits are more forgiving than you would expect from a club that looks like a players iron. The feedback is genuine; a well hit ball feels like butter, a mishit gives feedback (you know instantly when you don’t strike dead center, and that does not feel like butter), but you are not punished for it as much as other clubs I have used. My other set of irons are Mizuno JPX 919 Hot Metal, which I was fitted for several years ago. They are good clubs too, but are now my backup set or loaners for out of town guests. My set before that were TaylorMade (soon to be up for sale). For my MACSPD’s, I upgraded the shafts and moved to midsized grips. I also extended the length 0. 5 inches based on Mizuno fitting suggestions. At half the price I paid for my last set, or any new set I could purchase from a major brand today, they are a better fit for me, no questions asked. The actually exceeded my expectation. Performance is as good or better than advertised and my customer service experience was great. Also, I kind of like having a set of classic branded clubs that no one else on the course has (yet), and you know they are a little jealous tha...
