Very helpful and easy to deal with

If you like silky smoothness from your knife (both in texture and operation), you’ll definitely like the ZT 0512. There’s a lot in the details here. For a natural starting point, consider appearance. From that first look to the feel and function, this knife presents a distinctive and rewarding unit. The earthy tones of the canvas Micarta, the dark bronze Cerakote titanium and CruWear steel blade, and the stout bronze anodized tube spacer complement each other perfectly with the matching anodized deployment/lock button. As you’d expect, the Micarta is both soft to the touch and durable, providing a good grip in various conditions. On the titanium side, the Cerakote serves to “butter” the feel and enhance the grip for a good match with the front. As a whole, the handle is excellent, and that’s literally where the action is. Keeping with the theme, it’s quick and strong as it should be, but with a silky smoothness. The CruWear steel blade is a well-balanced art piece in itself, with strong marks where it counts... good edge retention and sharpenability, respectable toughness and corrosion resistance, and good looks too. I love the ZT 0512! It brings the complete package.

At the time I decided to get this, I already had several folders with blade lengths of 3. 45” or less, so I figured I’d go for something with a bit more reach, at least 4”. Settling on the 0452CF was an easy choice, since I’d already had an eye on this Sinkevich design for awhile. First impressions mean a lot, and sometimes it’s sort of love at first sight. I didn’t feel like I needed to handle it or use it before buying. I trusted what I saw, read, and knew about it (thanks in great part to these reviews), and it’s a ZT after all. Turned out to be exactly as expected, so I am happy with the purchase. First off, it looks good. The titanium, carbon fiber, and hardware go well together, and the durability is obvious. The handle fills my rather large hand nicely, and the contours feel just right. Good balance when open. The heft tells you right away that this knife is a solid build. My aging, sometimes arthritic finger had a little trouble opening the heavier blade with the flipper at first, but a drop of oil on the pivot and repeated opening/closing has pretty much taken care of that. The finger pocket helps in that respect, greatly increasing your leverage, and gravity can be your friend here; let it work with you instead of against. The blade design is clean and versatile, great for slicing, with a sturdy piercing point as well, and the S35VN steel is a favorite. The price is very right. All in all, the 0452CF is a keeper.

Knives were securely packaged and I was notified when the knives were due to arrive. Customer service and the technical representative were excellent and knowledgable, when the blade would not fully deploy. I sent the knife back and the technical representative replaced the washers and T bar, even though he was not able to replicate my problem.

Lock still fails after repair.

Reasonable in size, very sharp, and excellent quality. I had my knife engraved, and while I was initially a bit concerned about the quality of the engraving design, I was thoroughly pleased with every aspect when I received the knife. I really like the automatic function. One piece of constructive feedback: the packaging could have felt a bit more authentic, though this is a minor detail. Overall, I’m very happy with my ZT 0556.
