These bibs are great and have performed well during fall racing on the Chesapeake Bay. Since I'm 5'6" 165 lbs. , finding gear that isn't too big and bulky without being restricting is a challenge. I originally ordered the medium which were WAY too big. Size small fits well and I can still add a thermal layer underneath if it's cold. Adjustable shoulder straps are robust and I like the velcro at the bottom. The only improvements I would make would be to add fleece lined hand warming pockets at the waist, and shave an inch off the inseam.

Great grip on the deck! These are highly ventilated with lots of mesh, so take that into account in terms of the outside temperature. Yesterday, 12/13, in San Francisco Bay, these were pretty cold to wear - even when dry.

Surfski Lake Michigan… I purchased my Zhik Drysuit ***zhik.***/us/adult-drysuit-21.html earlier this spring and have been using it on and off for about six months. Yesterday, I put it to the ultimate test far beyond anything I ever expected. I was paddling my Epic V9 surfski on Lake Michigan in challenging conditions: water temperatures in the low 40s, air in the mid-40s, and a small craft advisory with waves up to 10 feet and plenty of side chop. I always dress for immersion, so underneath the dry suit I wore a 3 mm farmer John, a downy jacket, 5 mm booties, and 5 mm gloves, along with a Zhik lifejacket. During one of my runs downwind, a wave crashed over me and completely destroyed my surfski, breaking it into several pieces. I released the tether connecting me to the boat and eventually had to abandon what was left and swim for shore. I was in the water for roughly 30 minutes before reaching safety. I’m fully convinced that the only reason I was able to stay functional and make it back was because of what I was wearing. The dry suit and the insulation layers underneath kept me warm enough to keep swimming and thinking clearly. The lifejacket kept me stable in the rough water. Without the combination of the Zhik dry suit, wetsuit, and PFD, I don’t believe the outcome would have been the same. This experience was a dramatic reminder that proper gear isn’t optional, it’s life-saving. The Zhik dry suit performed far beyond expectations, and I’m incredibly grateful for its durability, design, and reliability when it mattered most
