Although it is hard to tell in "hair selfies" it appears to be working. ( and I am 55)I have been using for a year now. I am considering upgrading to Dutaseride topical and minoxidil oral medication.

There is clear improvement at the front of my scalp near my hair line, but less so at my crown although this may have been worse and needs more time.
